Food is great 4/5. The Service is very good. The waiters were helpful to us, as we could not decide what to pick. Furthermore always up for a quick chat. 5/5. The atmosphere is great with good music and good location, but we prefer to eat altogether and not individually. That’s just a no go for this location and this price category 3/5. After weeks and weeks of trying every lamb chop, meat pie, Ozzie beef and barramundi, we just wanted something simple fresh and clean tasting, no sauce, no frying. Raw Bar to the rescue! A giant delicious salad that we split, a plate of the house selection sushi plate with outstanding sashimi and the biggest hand roll I've ever seen did the trick for Mark and I. The hand roll was more like a Japanese burrito it was so big. The fish was fresh, the preparation simple no weird mayo sauces just straight forward and the veggies perfect. Our Italian server was funny and personable. If we lived in Bondi it would def be a regular spot.
Such a fun place to eat with a relaxed vibe and positive energy. There was a cool breeze outside so we requested an indoor table but they got us in, served us quickly, and kept on filling our drinks. Wait staff were great and some tables were close enough to enjoy with the people around you too.Food: 5/5
Nicely local place for sushi. It gets busy quickly so plan ahead! Fresh fish, interesting rolls and some nice specials like popcorn prawns make this one of my favorites in Bondi.Food: 4/5
Heard a lot about this place, it was even mentioned in Broadsheet Sydney, so we tried it out. To be completely honest, it's overrated. For the price we paid we expected better quality. The sashimi was nice, the generous serve of wasabi and pickled ginger is great with every dish and the sushi service goes quickly. However we waited an hour for our ramen to arrive. The place was properly staffed, but service was not very efficient.
Arrived on a Saturday night and it was busy but only a 15 minute wait which was impressive. Great system of texting to let you know when your table is ready. The staff were all polite and attentive even though it was so busy for them. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and decor. Even got a window seat Loved the drinks and the food was so fresh and tasty. Great menu selection. Came out staggered which I enjoyed. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
The place is in a great location, the atmosphere is nice. Food is of good quality, yes prices can seem expensive but please keep in mind is a sushi bar in front of one of the most popular beaches in the world so I think price is right for the quality, atmosphere and location. Service could be faster but no major complains, the bartender poured one of the most refreshing and interesting lemonade I have ever tasted. If you have a craving for Japanese food and you are in the area I would definitely recommend it.
Gorgeous atmosphere, fabulous food, lovely waiter named Charlie made our experience exceptional. Extremely polite and funny. Overall would definitely recommend it was a night to remeber for my birthday.Food: 5/5
Food was lovely, some of the staff need to work on their customer service skills - as in acknowledging their customers so would be slow to go back on that basis, but good variety of sushi which is always a plus!Recommended dishesOcean Roll
I love Raw Bar, or is there best sushi in Sydney and in an awesome location on Bondi Beach. The sashimi here is so fresh as is all of the food and the sure service is great. You may have to wait a while to get in at nighttime as it is a local gem. The prices are high but this reflects the quality of food. There is quite a good wine selection too.
