It pays to be loyal. I am an RACQ Gold member. I have my roadside assist, third party, comprehensive car insurance and household insurance with them. Today I accidentally backed into my neighbours car parked opposite my drive way. Previously an Uber driver backed into his car. I put in a claim this morning using their website and the process was so easy. I will get my car repaired, a hire car supplied free while it’s being repaired. I was gobsmacked when the lovely customer service operator rang me to let me know my claim had been accepted and that my neighbour shall also receive a hire car for free while his vehicle is in the shop. I am never leaving RACQ and shall upgrade all my roadside assist cover to the top level. They are wonderful. I put the claim in the morning and within 6 hours it had all been resolved. My mind was put at rest and was relieved of a lot of stress. My neighbour is struggling, had a heart attack which means he can no longer work. He was a concreter , a very hard job on the body. He is living off Newstart so his car is everything to him. I told him he would have to get quotes for repair as this has been my experience with other insurers in the past. I was wrong. He didn’t have to do anything. And he will get a top quality repair through an RACQ preferred repairer. I can’t compliment RACQ enough. Their customer service operator who called me was so nice and did a terrific job. She deserves a commendation.
4 weeks since I made a claim and “under investigation”. Paid a year of comprehensive cover and some hours later a minor incident and filed a claim all same day - investigation lasting 4 weeks and still waiting for minor repairs to be done on the car.
I hope I could give no star +5 years of paying upfront compensation insurance resulted in unpaid claim… Fixed my own car after accident because accessor was so rude and believed that accident can’t cause damage. Don’t trust RACQ insurance, they simply getting away from claims by not listening to customers and through whatever their accessor submitted mechanical report Worst customer service with long waiting time over the phone …
I don’t know whom to blame, RACQ or Gemini Pinkenba. The Insurance took my vehicle on 1st week of September and didn’t gave me any updates or anything till 1st week of October when I had to withdraw the claim and get it fixed by my own money, which was just a minor transmission leak. It was an one day job to fix the vehicle, I don’t know why they took that long. It was mental pressure and they even left some scratches on my vehicle which is pretty fuming. Just an Update: They never got back to me as said by the Admin’s reply. A HUGE to this Insurance.

Racq call out Ute's like speeding through construction site's in the city at 12.38am with no concern about the worker's on the road. You of all people should no to slow down when you see orange flashing light's.

Worst insurance company I have dealt with in over 25 years! Non proactive, don’t provide reports, don’t pay as as per their terms - disgusting! I will never give them anymore of my business- nor should you. They are just in it purely for the money.
I paid my insurance and received the payment notification via email. To obtain a tax invoice which I require as it’s a leased vehicle took 2 HOURS AND 14 Minutes. A tax invoice can only be obtained by calling. RACQ PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF. To make it worst straight after this post RACQ replied it’s not good enough leave your number and we’ll contact you. Still waiting after a week.
