Racine Bakery

As a visitor to Orange we had heard about the foody culture and looked forward to experiencing the good food and wine reputed to be on offer. On the Saturday of our stay over Christmas weekend we were shopping for food and noticed the Racine bakery. A coffee and late breakfast snack seemed to be in our future. We walked in and perused the display. All looked great with a selection of sandwiches, baguettes. We were eager to order. One staff was preparing coffee for the only other customer. Another was packing and preparing various baked goods a little behind the scenes. We patiently waited for our turn to order. Another staff entered with his jaunty hat attempting to be hip. As he finished cleansing his hands another customer walked in, Mr Jaunty Hat Hipster immediately served that customer and ignored our existence. We decided that if we are invisible to them then they obviously don’t need our custom. We left. They probably have good food and coffee but we will never know!

Nice little cafe with freshly made food and great service.

Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast brioche was excellent. Will definitely visit again.
