Nice place to visit. A couple of eateries around. Some seats available to admire the view. There is an Observation tower nearby but I never went up to look out from on this visit. Good place to check out. Even just walking past.
You can use the stairs or lift to the top of the observation tower. Lovely views from the top.. Looking into the harbour or into the bay.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Amazing place to take the family for the New Year's fireworks. Good music and welcoming atmosphere. The cafes and restaurants were also on point. Service was impressive. Would do it again next year.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
There is a lift, but I took the stairs. Think there were about 146… lost count. Gets windy once you’re in the exposed part of the stairs. Amazing views if you’re lucky to have a clear day. There’s a digital information screen where you can press on various topics to learn about the local area. Learning about the shipwrecks was interesting.
Beautiful views from the spiral tower, would've loved to walk up instead of the lift but small complaint. It's free, it's fun and accessible for all. The port area is fun to look at and see all the boats and try and spot a giant stingray in the water, massive! Didn't visit the restaurants but the small restaurant/cafe next to the fish and chip shop looked and smelt great! Nice walk to look around and very different style to the rest of Queenscliff.
A picturesque working harbour with yachts, motor boats, pilot boars and fishing tour boats. Scenic location with a deep channel that leads out to Port Phillip Bay and connects with Swan Bay. Fishing tour boats provide trips out through the rip Port Phillip Heads to catch a variety of fish including Snapper, Perch, Trevalla, Sergeant Baker and Wrasse.
Thoroughly enjoyed the harbour before catching the ferry. Views from the observation tower were amazing. Restaurants available plus cafe, toilets, ferry terminal etc.
Beautiful to wlak around Swan Bay and the Harbour it's peaceful there's plenty of birds including obviously Swans and pelicans and plovers and stalks and other sea and water birds. Beautiful fresh air, clean areas, peaceful but also lovely locals who are friendly!
DRY DOCK BOAT Today was a fabulous day to go out fishing and it’s so much easier to do that since we have had our community boat dry docked at Queenscliff Harbour. The staff on the phones and on the ground are always a pleasure to deal with. We just give them a call when we arrive and they pop the boat in the water for us we just have to jump in and take off. On returning we just fill up the fuel at the pump on the jetty then dock and flush the motor. The boys then pick her up wash her down and put her away till the next fishing day. Weekends and holidays it can be a bit busy and there maybe a bit of a wait but it has made boating so much easier for us. The annual fee for our size boat was a bit under $5000 last year. We took the grandkids out for the first time last week and they were lucky enough to meet and feed the local seal Sammy and see the other local giant sting Ray which they cal ...Ray. What an experience for us all.
Lucky we went around to the Marina side of it otherwise we would have missed all the cafes & shops. Had the best ever fried flathead at the fish & chip shop, even the fried flake was pretty dam good.
