never have i had such disrespect from a workshop/garage . i was yelled at and given verbal abuse and told to get my f@$king car out of here and take it somewhere eles after inquring the faults they never checked after it was fresh out of garage after repaired i think they pick and choose who gets a wof as i seen no skills preformed after watching them re check it DISGUSTED !!!!

Can't say I'm happy with my experience at Quality Mechanical. Just bought a new car which shuddered quite violently when leaving first gear. When i bought it the advice was that it needed a new clutch; got another opinion who said that it was the slave cylinder. Brought the car to QM for a second opinion and told them that I wanted the shuddering fixed and presented both sets of advice I'd been given. QM determined that the clutch was fine and changed the slave cylinder. That didn't fix it so they then changed the engine mount. That didn't fix it so I called up, was told it must be another engine mount and would get back to me with a price, of which never happened. Took the car elsewhere for a third opinion, and was told immediately that it did need a new clutch (which has fixed the shuddering). When I questioned QM about this I was told that the engine mount needed doing anyway and that I "told" them to change the cylinder. Not what happened - I told them that my car shudders on take off and one person said it was a clutch issue, another said it was a slave cylinder - given I took the car there for the shuddering to be fixed, I expected the expert to tell me what was causing that, and what needed to be fixed, rather than just work off the - wrong - premise that I told them to fix the slave cylinder. Another issue I had was price - every time I was given an (admittedly) verbal quote, what I paid was always more - the reason being that the part was more expensive than they expected; however when I discussed my issue with the mechanic he mentioned that they make most of their money from the parts, not the labour. Given this, I am assuming that I was paying more for the part than what it actually cost + $80/hr labour. What I can give kudos to is that the actual work seems good quality and the staff are friendly, so I am really disappointed to be writing this review. However given that I was planning on spending $500-$700 on a new clutch when I bought the car, but ended up spending an extra almost $500 on work that didn't fix the issue I brought the car there to be fixed (which I really didn't have to spend), I am pretty gutted, and empty pocketed.
