Aside from the brilliant location, the hotel isn't really much of a hotel. More like serviced apartments at best. Rooms are big and inefficient & 1.9m ceiling heights really don’t do the brand any justice. Beyond the main driveway it’s all downhill metaphorically. Reception staff are nice but seem like they don’t really want to be in the service industry. Fitness centre was also closed & staff had no idea when it would be opened. Rooms were clean & cleaning staff were very polite. Not sure if room service was available. Minibar was average. All pretty average & underwhelming. Three stars for the location. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
This is a beautiful hotel aesthetically. We stayed here in February 2023 and have stayed at other QT properties in Sydney before covid. However, there are issues at the property which made the experience feel a bit flat… Firstly, the wifi was poor. We stayed in room 321 so not sure if it’s to do with the position in the hotel but it didn’t hold up for video calls. Secondly, on a couple of occasions there was no hot water in the shower. I called reception and the guest services person responded “really? Are you sure?”….they then called back and said after talking to a colleague that you sometimes need to let the hot water run for 10 mins to warm up. I knew the hotel had a retro vibe but seems a bit excessive. True enough, the water got hot after running for around 10 mins but at $600 per night, it should be better than this both for guests and our planet. Finally, on our last day, we mistakenly thought the check out time was midday. At 11.15, we had the same receptionist call and said we needed to leave the room immediately. Fair enough but given the amount of time wasted running cold water over the course of 6 days, it seemed a bit unreasonable. To make it worse, we then rushed downstairs to check out and needed to wait 15 mins while they processed a refund for an overcharge on our card. Like I said, beautiful hotel and facility but there are bumps that need to be ironed out to make this price seem like good value.
Loved it! The staff are amazing and the little extras like the Dyson hair dryers and Nespresso coffee machine make your stay that little more comfortable than anywhere else
The staff are friendly and the room inside is large, but it is so convenient that there is even a kitchen and washing machine. Above all, the location is really the best, so there are supermarkets, bottle shops, and simple restaurants below. I really want to go again.
Besides my beautiful immaculate room with luxury amenities & comfy bed. It was the beautiful Melanie on your front desk that made my stay. She welcomed me with the warmest smile after a not so pleasant experience at another hotel in Bondi. Melanie was engaging, attentive and it was very obvious to me she had a genuine care for guest and making their experience a memorable one! Thank you QT Bondi - I will be back!
I stayed at this wonderful hotel last night with my husband and children and I must say I'm so very impressed. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff are so friendly, so accomdating and the rooms are absoloutly beautiful. This place has everything you could possibly need and more. My kids were able to surf because they have boards to use. Also lend out beach towels. It smells insanly amazing. I will definitely be back. I think the main part that I enjoyed was feeling so welcome. Thank you.
Outstanding service from start to finish. Our van didn’t fit in the carpark and we were helped out straight away. Also due to an emergency our room wasn’t quite ready and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Would stay again! The rooms were also soo spacious and luxurious
I just loved it!!! After a very tiresome and disappointing experience with another hotel in that area, the QT Bondi made me believe in good hospitality and good faith again. Very spacious room, and all I needed was there, the small details, amenity was great too, I love the many lights, you could watch recent released movies, refrigerator was there, balcony, detergent for laundry, dishwasher, coffee and tea! Absolutely great and most of all, the staff was super friendly, each and everyone of them was super nice! I didn’t get all their names 80s girl, George, who was extremely friendly and always smiling, Thank you so much for everything!
Putting at 3/5 because only 3 nights were quite OK out of 5. Overall experience is good, the room size, design, available features etc. main problem is the bed, which had a very soft and bent down mattress. Pillows are not great either, they are just way too thick and firm. I believe it should be the other way around. However the rooms are quiet if they are faced inside the building - that is a good thing. Daylight insulation is also quite OK. Please fix the beds!
Firstly. I am not one to usually leave feedback. However my wife and I stayed with our toddler over our Christmas break 5 nights and we feel we owe it to leave a review this time.. Location is amazing, so convenient for our style of holiday. Room was very clean and tidy. Love the hard floors throughout.. room staff were always happy to help and did a great job.. MEL MEL MEL!! on front desk helped make our trip. Such a nice soul to greet you through the day, very helpful, did her very best to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. What you see is what you get, Great job Mel .. also need to mention Bianca great job.. thanks again guys appreciate it..
