Very informative. It's fascinating to learn the history of Qantas. The problems faced by pioneers of air travel. The light show on the evening is a must see. Three cheers for the wonderful staff and guides. Since, it's a community based operation,I think everyone should get out there and support the effort. Tour was great. We got to hear the history of Qantas and see inside several of the aircraft that had been used by Qantas over time. See how the rich and famous travelled in a private jet. After the tour we then spent time browsing through the museumVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Visited june, so people on route to big red bash and on school holidays etc were in Longreach. Very busy! Great history of QANTAS. Expensive for what it is. You would still visit though. Consider online booking as wing walks etc sell out quick. Watch the videos, it saves a lot of reading. They missed an opportunity, the toilets should mirror airline loo doors and the front entry could open like an aircraft hatch.
There are 3 things that made this truly enjoyable. 1. The quality and quantity of the displays- very informative and great for multiple ages. 2. The Cafe- great food with friendly service 3. Air conditioning
So good. So worth doing. We did the Airpark Tour followed by the Wing Walk and they were both wonderful. Highly recommended and worth the price $70 per person per tour. Bryce was so knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting even for non plane or Qantas buffs.
For $30 it was pretty basic. I didn't get to go in the big planes because they are only for guided tours which were not running when I got to the museum. Poor value even if the guided tours were running I'd say.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Very informative and the grandkids love the Bristol flight simulator, interactive display and the Catalina seaplane. I loved the 14 cylinder gas motor and the turbine engines
Highly recommend the Platinum tour! Highlight being 2 wing walks. Lots of information to take in & pleasantly surprised by our certificates, gift bags & photo montage.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The museum itself is clean and well organised. Lots of interesting exhibits. Cafe and shop on premises. The highlight was looking through the aircraft on site with an informative, keen guide.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Our tour guide had a vast knowledge of all the aircraft included in the tour, well worth the visit, easy parking, centrally located, meals were well priced.
