This museum is amazing. You wear headphones and the narrator tells you about objects you're standing in front of. Very interesting and hard working stockman. We all think we work hard now a days, nothing compared to those men and women. Put this on your bucket list guarantee it will amaze you. We're so glad we visited.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame & Outback Heritage Centre depicts the lives and history of early bush custodians of Australia paying tribute to pioneers of the Australian outback. The centre is also dedicated to Australian stockmen who have shown bravery and courage. It does this through cinematic experience, self-guided tour with interactive personal audio devices and live shows. The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre is an incorporated, self-funding not-for-profit company which operates without on-going government assistance. Money for the running and maintenance is provided from admissions, sales of souvenirs, catering, membership subscriptions, sponsorships and donations. So, add it to your adventure list to keep the dream alive, you’ll be glad you did.

I think ppl of a mature age would appreciate this attraction more as it's about stories our parents told us about. Young ppl seemed a bit bored. Self guided. Purchased tickets online direct from their website which streamlined check-in. We had lunch and continued after. Food etc was competitively priced. Nice coffee. Chili was the barista. He's a good young bloke. Souvenirs were cheaper than I expected & stocked up on trinkets for rellies & friends. Walk out after & get selfies with the drover statue and sign in the background. It was 32°C outside but the ac inside kept us comfortable. We're in the 60+ age group & spent 4hrs there. If we watched all the short films which we could easily have spent longer in there.
Well worth the visit. Lots to see and do. The building itself is a work of art in itself. Have lived and worked on the land made this place special to see.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I wasn't expecting much, but decided to check it out. I was pleasantly blown away! The self guided audio tour was terrific, the displays were really high quality and very interesting. The staff were terrific and there were some nice souvenirs in a range if prices. It was a worthwhile way to spend a couple of hours.
We went to the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame. This place is impressive. Started with a 20 minute movie on the history. We were then given ipods with headsets and could wander through the hall of fame which was made up of many different themed areas with commentary, stories and poetry as you go. We could have spent all day in there. The outdoor show with horses, sheep, dogs and a bull was a great way to finish. You need to make sure you visit well worth the time.
An immersive experience with so many audio files to accompany the exhibit. Allow several hours to hear it all. The stories of women and First Nations people included made a great impression.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
