A MUST VISIT TO CELEBRATE A GREAT CHEF’S OFFERINGS

This is a Three Hat Chef Restaurant: The Sydney Morning Herald awards a Hat to Chefs who excel in their offerings.

Amit Guha has this rare distinction. He offers diners a cuisine that draws its inspiration from India's regional food Meccas, focusing on authenticity and quality. The menu is varied and includes the well known butter chicken, rogan josh, beef vindaloo alongside lesser known traditional North and South Indian thalis, tiffin varieties such as dosas, poori masala and chaat items.

I tried 4 different mains, entee is good.Papadam with mint and yoghurt dip excellent balance. I don't like gulab I can only eat one. Coulliflower Bezule a very tasty red spiced dish florets of Caulliflower explosion of savoury joy in the mouth It's an absolute no1 on the menu in the snap, try it with a meat dish like Korma Chicken. Wines on offer were good. This is a good Indian restaurant I'll be returning to this gastronomic and cool place.4 stars going on to 5 pending more enjoyment later...
We ordered Seafood Molley, Chicken Desi, Lamb Biryani, Matar Mushroom, Malai Kofta, Naans. We were quite excited at first but when the food came, they were OK. Seafood Molley promised with scallops that were non existence, the fish were cooked from frozen, it was tough to chew. The only Curry I enjoyed was kofta. The biryani was not nice at all. The rice was a bit sticky and not freshly made and did not have that flavor we expected. Portions are small. Unfortunately I've tasted better curries and Biryanis, so definitely we can comment on the quality and taste. When we raised the issue with the curry, both the mom and the son were unapologetic. For a restaurant that boasts serving the best curry in Sydney, it was a bit of a disappointment I must say.
I had dinner here a week ago and had a good experience. The fish in the entree was nicely spiced and cooked. I had Railway goat curry which I really enjoyed. Would recommend.
Clean restaurant with lovely ambiance. The food was really tasty - I loved the Cauliflower entree and beef Vindaloo was properly spicy and so flavourful.
I personally don't write any review to any of the outlets but this one is such a disgrace that I could not tolerate any more after having such an insult at last nights dining with my family. Service is terrible. Customer care is a big Zero. We ordered food before many others but, our food came very last which was frustrating. At the time of serving, I even asked Waiter that Is there any concept of " first come first serve"?, surprisingly he said "NO". I would have known better if they would have displayed at some where I can see. Food was below average with lots of cream and sugar. Did not serve the dish to the expectation. Waiter and waitress were no clue about dishes or their spicy levels. Also there is no salt or Pepper at the table if you need them. Served dishes with less salt and they tasted pale could not enjoy the real taste of dish. And these waiter/waitress had no courtesy to ask how was food?? We felt that we were unwanted customer and was a disaster evening and I could not hold up any more, at the time of paying the bill said to the waiter not to insult / discriminate any customer. I am very sorry that I disappointed my family I could not give better review to this outlet. Have given 1 star just because cannot go any below
The Spice Lounge is now our regular Indian place since the closure of a similarly named restaurant in Pennant Hills. The food here is tasty and authentic. We usually order at least one platter entree. The naans, curries and rice follow. Ideal dining experience is in a group of 4 or more so you can taste more dishes. They even have Kingfisher beer which is a perfect match to the spicy food.
Nice modern Indian lounge on a quite street in the hart of Pyrmont. Great flavors and spices, really yummy! Vibe was excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially the young woman who was waiting us that night. Would highly recommend the Spice Lounge, go try it!
This place was amazing for the price we paid. The seafood platter for two is a must have if you like seafood. The prawns and fish were really nice and juicy Will definitely come back for the amazing fresh naan breads and service
Very good food. Starters were super good. Service is super fast. But seating is very tight. Must book a table before you goRecommended dishesPaneer Butter Masala, Mixed Side Dishes, Butter Naan
Customer service was the only good thing..the food was below average and not worth the price. We ordered the spice lounge platter and the pieces were not adequate and the prawns were dry and had no salt. The curry was sweet without any flavour .the chicken dum biriyani was like a mixed rice and definitely not dum biriyani.. not worth the money spent
