Lovely Indian food .. especially like the entrees and appetisers! Am definitely a fan. Priced quite reasonably considering it's in Pyrmont, and the atmosphere makes a good dinner with friends or your partner.
I ate here a few weeks ago and didn't have a great experience. I thought it might be an "off night", so decided to give it another try ... a mistake! While the waiters were all friendly and the menu is quite wide-ranging, the food is really disappointing. Starting with poppadom - all greasy/oily. Food delivered to the table in less than 10 mins from ordering, with a "microwave hot" feel to it. Soggy chicken and oily roti. In an out within 32 minutes from arrival. Not exactly a nice relaxed dinner experience, and non-fresh/pre-cooked food taste. Shame.
It's lovely food, with good service - It's one of the best Indian restaurants in Sydney and definitely takes me back to my days in Mumbai. I always love the dosas, and the Kashmiri Pulao Authentic Indian food, the way you would have it in India - not westernised or watered down
Bombay to Mumbai is one of the finest Indian restaurants in Sydney that i have been to. The staff is extremely friendly , have good communication skills and are very helpful. The food was really good, we tried the chicken malwani dish and the lachha paratha. For desert we had the kulfi which was very yummy. I would strongly recommend everyone to try this place out
Very authentic food, friendly service and a nice ambience. A white tablecloth experience without the price tag. My favorite is the Lasooni Mirch Paneer - something you don't quite see in restaurants outside India. We found the restaurant kid friendly too - they customized the dishes to suit the palate non-spicy of our 4 year old. BYO wine but they serve wine both by the glass and bottle if you wish.
This place came highly recommended by a couple of Indian friends living in Sydney and it didn't disappoint. I'd recommend the lacha paratha and any tandoor starter from the menu. The stuffed mushrooms were decent as were the fried prawns starter although I felt that had a tad extra dose of ajwain. The kulfi is supposedly great so will be surely trying that the next time. Head over here if you are looking for a quiet Indian restaurant near Pyrmont apart from the slightly overpriced Zaffran and not-that-consistent Vrindaavan.
Was a cute little restaurant with a fine dining feel, the service did lack in areas and was slow to serve meals. Apart from that the food was of good quality and the staff were very friendly. It was BYO however corkage was overpriced.
Dear God, save yourself and don't order online. Starving is preferable because at least that is free and you don't have the anticipation of potential food coming to your home. Waited over 2 hours despite multiple follow-up phone calls. I could have gone grocery shopping and made my own curry in the time it took for the food to arrive.
Very disappointed. Was craving a good Indian meal and the revved reviews looked good. It took three attempts to get a simple drink order right and then the rice for the main was undercooked. Not impressed.
A quaint restaurant, just newly opened and has quite unique menu offerings. Has the traditional menus that you would find in most Indian restaurants, listed under the Bombay offerings, but with their speciality dishes listed under the Mumbai menu
