This is my first review of an Indian restaurant in Slough. We were recommended by our close friends about this restaurant and previously tried their Chicken 65 in a party. We thought of celebrating a lovely day got the keys to our new house in London at Panjab this time and trust me we were not disappointed. Right from customer service to the quality and portion sizes, we absolutely loved it!! We met with the owner Pam who was lovely and friendly. Made sure we were served well and taken care of the whole time. We ordered a range of food to eat in and take away - Paneer Shashlik, chilli garlic naan which was the best naan I ever tasted in the UK Bhindi Masala, Tadka Dal, Jeera Rice and Mutter Paneer plus salted and mango lassi. For take away, we ordered Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken. Everything was wonderful especially the lamb rogan josh was yummy. I definitely recommend this restaurant and definitely not our last time. Please do visit and I'm sure you will enjoy the food a lot.
Was going to give this five stars because the food, beer flying buffalo and service were all great! Venue doesn't look anything special from the outside but is really well decorated inside. Parking is a little awkward; one hour only allowed outside the restaurant but there are a few free spaces very close, if you are lucky and one is available. We were a large party with a veggie set menu. However lots of food was left over on our table and I asked if I could take it home. I wad told, no, it had to be thrown away as it was a set menu. Huh?? Could understand if we'd ordered from a buffet but that wasn't the case. How silly, and bad for the environment in terms of food waste. So decided to reduce from five to three stars as a result.
Found this hidden north indian marvel in Slough. The food is absolutely finger f* delicious and the portion size is as a true panjabi would serve. Post covid many restaurants have started to compromise on quantity and quality both but this is one we found our absolute go to. Must try Tari chicken and well everything else
The inside is nothing like what we expected from outside. Lovely decor and a good atmosphere. Perfect for family meals, dates or get-togethers. We had the butter chicken and 2 naans. I forgot to take pictures of the dish. But you'll need 1 naan per person - they are not large enough to share. We also got the Gajar halwar dessert pictured. Worth a trip if you're in the area.
Initially started very well with a warm welcome, quick drinks service and a nice selection of starters. However service afterwards went downhill. Starters took ages to be cleared and it also took a long time for the restaurant to take the main course order. When the main course arrived several dishes were missing and despite a couple of prompts they took a long time for a couple of the diners. All the while we had empty drinks and additional drinks orders were missed. Considering restaurants make the most marginal drinks, this place is missing out on maximising its profits. Also noticed that other tables were always looking around for service which was reactive rather than proactive. Main courses were not a patch on the starters. The lamb Rogan Josh which was meant to be tomatoey had very little tomato in it. It was probably rushed as it was one of the mains that was delayed. Overall disappointing and could be so much better.
Incredible food!!! Best curry house in London. All the food is excellent, served straight from from the kitchen which you can watch being prepared. Fantastic service. This place is an absolute joy to eat in.
A few years ago I was in the Three Forks restaurant in Dallas. I was with work colleagues from Germany, Mexico and Wales. As we ordered our $150 tomahawk steaks, our server who sounded just like Elvis suggested we should try the creamed corn alongside our steaks as it was truly “life changing”. So we did and importantly it was. We all agreed that our magnificent $150 tomahawk steaks, reared on a nearby ranch were elevated by this side dish to a truly transcendental level Fast forward and I’m in a posh looking Indian restaurant in a really dodgy looking area on the edge of Slough On the menu are all the usual suspects plus a few rogue dishes such as pulled pork curry yes really but on the recommendation of my server, as a starter I went for the Jack Daniel’s chicken wings I have a major fondness for chicken wings. I’m not sure what I was expecting but this was not it! So these wings had been marinated in the tandoor before being bathed in a rather spicy sauce containing Jack Daniel’s that is distinctly Indian but with a twist. I am simply in awe of what I have just eaten. Genuinely life changing food in the most unexpected location The main course was also really really good I had a lamb rogan josh but not as good as the starter. Throughout the service was on great and I was made to feel genuinely welcome on a cold and quiet Monday evening in Slough If you ever find yourself in Slough then I m truly sorry but whilst you are here do try this place and perhaps the wings
Went there for dinner with family. Fantastic food, great cocktails and well priced! The owner let us stay there even after they had closed. Only thing was there wasn't enough staff on the day so service was a bit slow - but other than that it was a great experience
This was the 3rd time coming, another amazing experience. The food is full of flavour and the service is excellent. The menu is vast and I'm looking forward to trying something new next time. I have full confidence every dish is as excellent as the rest.
Very bad Customer Service. I wanted to pay for a service or buy a product in order for my wife to use the toilet as she is heavily pregnant. The lady pouring the bear last night at 6.30pm refused to serve me after i specifically mentioned gently if it were possible and if i needed to purchase something i would, you are a restaurant which i understood soo i said ill buy something so its not a loss and i am not from this area and was in a 3 hour traffic jam which aslo taken 5 hours to get home. No service station was nearby and i couldnt pull away as it was a traffic jam i needed to look after my baby and child in the car. The council need to be notified that they are telling customers they cannot allow people to use a toilet without the consent of a manager who is also not there!!!!!! How are your customers supposed to use a toilet after or during a meal if needed!!! I never ever experienced this blunt attitude in my life, only 2 White English customers were sat down who over heard what i was saying and there faces put me in ease. Well done i think you have also lost 2 customers. Im glad i found a religious Sikh Man in the Meat shop who told me to keep my money and also allowed not 1 but 3 people instead to use the loo as he understood human rights.
