Punchinello in Balgowlah is a beautifully refurbished, family owned centre. It has had a great reputation for offering high quality childcare, since 1980.

Story

The tranquil atmosphere at Punchinello is due to the fact that we exceed the regulation staff requirement both in numbers and in qualification so that every child is given maximum opportunity for nurture and development, through creative play.

This environment, together with our exhilarating daily program, challenges the children’s curiosity, knowledge and skills. At Punchinello we are committed to providing a program based on the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework, and we adapt our program to reflect our respect for family diversity and the individual needs of our children.

Depending on their age, maturity and place availability, our children belong to one of these two groups – Tadpoles (2-3 years); Frogs (3-5 years) which run a School Readiness programme preparing each child for a positive transition to primary school

Mission

Our primary point of difference is that we ensure every parent feels confident their child is receiving excellent care from trusted and highly trained educators whose long-term employment ensures that every child has a trusted and dedicated teacher to oversee their development, for the duration of their attendance at the centre.

50% of our educators have been with us for more than 10 years and we believe this very special commitment to be a valuable contribution to the quality of care we offer at Punchinello.
