This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I have to admit, I was taken aback by the prices at first. However, my initial surprise quickly faded once the food arrived. Each dish is generously portioned, easily enough to satisfy 2 to 3 people, making it a great value for the amount of food you receive. a favourite of ours, we have loved coming here for many years. Friendly staff, very generous portions and delicious food. The extra bonus is the free candy and snacks where you can help yourself on your way out. We ordered the beef lemongrass vermicelli and combination crispy egg noodles.
Well firstly the food is stunning here!nnproud peacock is a must go to when eating in Mount Waverley.nnNot only does proud peacock give huge portions, each dish also taste soo good. nnThese photos are from my last few visits from proud peacock and I am Proud to say that I will be coming here many more times in the future. I especially love the beef salad and the Pho!!nnIt dosent end here though. Along with the delicious food, you are greeted with stunning service!nnYou will likely be seated in as you walk through the door and if not, it will take a few minutes based from the times I’ve come to proud peacock. Even if you have to wait no worries, there is a candy jar in which you can grab as much as you desire. There are also free complementary drinks like soy milk.
We always order the broken rice pork chop, portion is so big and filled with so much stuff, the pork chops are so flavorful and tender, comes with soup as well, it’s a very nice meal, it’s big enough for 2. Their pho was super big as well, very nice and flavorful broth. Spring rolls were nice and crispy, the sweet and sour dipping sauce was very nice to have with.
This is my second visit, and I came earlier this time at 12pm, so no booking was needed – I just walked straight in.nThe price is on the higher side, but omg, the portion sizes! I couldn’t finish the vermicelli, so I asked for a takeaway container, and $24 covered both lunch and dinner.nThe pho was huge as well.nBoth dishes taste great! I’ll definitely come again on a hungry day!
