Prosciutto Bros

About

Local Bar with 20 taps of Aussie Craft Beer and Ciders, Full bar and fresh, quality meat and cheese dishes. Live Music on the weekends and a dance floor.

Story

A butcher walks into a craft brewery or is it a craft brewer walks into a butcher….

Prosciutto Bros. Craft Bar is a large industrial space in Eltham with recycled, up-cycled, retro and hand crafted pieces that create a rustic charm to this otherwise harsh environment.

Behind the bar built with recycled bricks is a choice of 20 taps hand selected craft beers and ciders from Australia and local crafted goodness. The best place to start is with the house tap CHOP – a special pilsner style brew.

To accompany the beer list, the Prosciutto Bros. carefully selected the ‘stand outs’ from local winemakers from the Mornington Peninsular, Yarra Valley and Geelong regions. When it’s time to raise the bar, you can always rely on the top shelf, pouring the finest, smoothest spirits for any mood, seeing to it that every thirst is satisfied. And if you can’t decide between a beer/cider or spirit, there is a couple of specially crafted cocktails on offer that will not disappoint.

Looking in from the outside of the open plan kitchen - projects a butcher style design with a glass deli cabinet presenting the wonderful array of meats, cheese and antipasti ingredients to entice your taste buds and hanging above it, meeting your eyes, are large steel hooks displaying hand crafted cured meats. As you look further, you see the bustle of the intimate kitchen where Chef Nick & his team prepare the succulent, melt in your mouth, flavorsome Italian home style recipe meat dishes cooked in the wood fire oven or over the Argentinean style bbq grill and spit.

The Prosciutto Bros. have designed the menu to evolve as the week evolves; starting with platter boards, onto gourmet wood fire pizza, grilled gourmet sausages, graduating to a slow cooked spit roast on Sunday guided by the kitchen team from the early morning, cooking throughout the day until the last piece has been eaten.

The Prosciutto Bros. have created a relaxed, happy and fun atmosphere where you can walk in, find your spot at a table, stool or booth, soak up the easy listening tunes in the background or the live weekend entertainment while awakening every taste bud with simple home style Italian family recipes washed down with a local crafty beer or two.

The Prosciutto Bros. wish is that every person has a unique and special experience every time they visit. Something all the Team at Prosciutto Bros. Craft Bar believes in too.

Surprising they don't have a band-aid for one of their customers had fall. No first aid kit a a popular bar. Definitely not coming again. Very disappointed.nThe reply was a total lie. The only reason they didn't give me bandaid was because they were very busy. They use the new staff as an excuse, infact the new staff did check with the manager and he replied no, I was at the scene. Later when another of a local person ask they gave. By the time i already got a bandaid from one of the customers. I was very upset to be treated the way at the bar, I throw the bandaid. Now, i sincerely apologise for my behavior to your staff. I'm sure if one of your staff was injured and required, you would not have done the same. To not have a firstaid kit or a bandaid is truly very unprofessional. There wasn't any remorse in your reply. Definitely not going and fellow customers beware.
Love this place, as a local I just love it. Good food..... Wood fire pizza ,good service great drinks with a unreal atmosphere. Fri and sat they have bands on. And not hard to fall in love with this place
Not a bad venue. Easy to order drinks and food. Always good to listen to live music there.
You never know where you’ll find a great place to eat and this one was nestled amongst industrial businesses.n#prosciuttobros is a brick warehouse converted into a funky Craft Bar, which clearly has a local cult following.nWe’d made a booking for 6pm which was fortunate as by 6.30 it was really rocking.nI was greeted at the bar by Chris and Oliver who kindly explained the 20 Craft Beers on tap plus the wines and cocktails available.nThe decor is my kinda style. None of the chairs match, the tabletops are different, plenty of photos and unusual artwork on the walls. This place oozes personality. Along with interesting lighting and a superb playlist pumping out songs that had me singing along, I’ve found a new place to hang out with my adult kids.nI set up a tab at the bar and we ordered at our leisure.nOur main meal was called “La Familigia” which you can see from the photos was amazing. A #chacuterieboard that fed six of us with food to spare.nThe menu itself is certainly designed for sharing which is ideal for families and friends. Very home style cooking. Very Italian. Made with love. The array of smoked and cured meats were amazing and the cheeses are not your regular cheddars. The wood fired pizzas were incredible. The platter included #arrachiniballs and #meatballs and plenty of bread to mop up the dips and sauces.nWe left before the live music started but the set up was simple and no doubt popular. There’s also trivia nights run regularly.nYou can dine indoors or outdoors with heaters set up around this time of year for those wanting to eat outside.nFinally. A huge shout out to the staff. So friendly and they know their stuff and always happy to go that extra mile. Even brought a takeaway container for the leftovers for me. Much appreciated. $151.50 for 6 adults, 1 platter which could’ve fed 8, 3 beers and 2 soft drinks. Good deal.nNotes: parking is good. Can be a bit tight if sport is playing on the fields nearby. Kids welcome. Disabled friendly. Takeaway available. Dietaries catered for.nn#thewanderingreviewer @prosciuttobros #italianfood #homemadefood #craftbeer #craftbeerontap #elthamrestaurant #elthamrestaurants #prosciuttobrothers
Well this was an amazing experience. It was a birthday dinner the restaurant was exciting and had a feel of yesterday, the service was great and Joseph was so polite and made us feel welcomed. The menu was on another level, we ordered so so many pizzas and did a super effort, we did well nothing to take home. You want the best forget the rest
