Best coffee in Eltham. Fantastic value for money. Most of all really quick and professional, and the staff are just so friendly. The food is good basic old fashioned food. I have always had a great experience. Highly recommend it. Best to book if it like father's day or mother's day because the place can get really busy.
Downgraded my rating with the downgrading of the menu. Used to have a great selection of pancake options. Only pancake options now are either plain or a ricotta concoction. Standard fare like eggs benedict still done well but many other cafes in the area can offer the same. A major differentiation point has now been lost.
A freezing cold day on 13 Jul 15 when I was in Eltham to attend a funeral so I took a great breakfast before at this well heated cafe. Nice staff and nicely set up too. I gave them a tip suggesting it be put into the heating costs for this large open plan cafe.
Visited here on the first night opening since changing it's name to Jock and Eddies. Great atmosphere, food and entertainment. The place has a wonderful vibe, and the duo...Jazz Society gave us an excellent show. Highly recommended.
Great spot for a casual drink and bite to eat, has Bulmer cider on tap. Has a nice vibe when it's live music night, with all ages catered for and family/young kids friendly. The outside front area is a good spot to spend a nice sunny arvo, where you can perch and people watch. Always an option for when we have the dog. Vibrant service.
Nice cafe with a good layout and large tables which are comfortable for lone diners to share without being too cozy. Staff were slow to take our order but really fast to serve it so in the end the experience was absolutely fine.
The worst breakfast we've had in Eltham. Smashed Avo is full of onion, one slice of white toast and one egg. Looks bad, tastes bad. Had one bite and couldn't eat anymore. They also want $17.00 for that poor excuse for a breakfast. Don't bother, plenty of other great joints in the area. No customer serive skills either, just "you're the first person to complain"
Great coffee and the food is good home made style food. It is absolutely delicious. Nice staff, not pretentious like some other places in Eltham. A fantastic spot!
I don't know what was worse, the stoners regaling each other with their drug and sex related exploits from the night before, or the fact that the staff lost my order on what was a lazy Sunday. This place could have obtained a slightly better review if the staff were at least apologetic for the delay in my meal. In typical snobby cafe style what does Eira even mean? they seemed to sneer as they offered me a faux offer of a discounted meal.
Food was good staff were friendly, had to find my own menu's and it took 45 mins for two breakfasts, they weren't busy. Have had the same experience here before.
