Story

Founded by Lance Eastwood and John Reynolds in 1983, Pro Alarms continues to offer the best service and highest standards in the security industry.
Lance Eastwood started his electrical apprenticeship at Geelong International Harvester and worked for 8 years as an electrician and 4 years as a production foreman. He then worked as a self employed electrical contractor mainly in the commercial/industrial field.In 1983 during a Christmas breakfast with one of the leading policeman in Geelong, it was suggested they should look into electronic security, so Lance and John teamed up and established Pro Alarms.
After extensive investigation of equipment available at the time, only the best quality products were chosen, which is something that has always remained a key factor in the service Pro Alarms offers to this day.
John Reynolds left the business in 1987 to continue with the electrical installation side of the company and continues to successfully run his own business in Geelong.
Pro Alarms started operating our own monitoring room in 1992. Working 24/7 for the first couple of years, establishing our name with quality equipment and qualified technical labour.
After successfully running our monitoring room for 20 years Pro Alarms decided to partner with Onwatch who run a graded control room in Sydney. Compliance with insurance companies was the reason for the change as many of these companies demanded the highest level of service which no monitoring station can offer in Geelong.
Looking forward, Pro Alarms will always continue to offer the best service possible. With Lance’s son Chris, and son in-law Stuart, The family owned and operated business will continue to grow and develop for many years to come.
