While I love the Pottery Barn aesthetic, the customer service at the store is pretty dire. We went to buy a couple of rugs. All the sales associates were at the front, so we went there to ask for help. We gave the names of the items we wanted, and noticed the sales associate was looking them up on the website. I asked if it was easier for us to order it online. Another sales associate said, "Oh no. We won't get the credit, and you'll have to deal with the Americans." She kept making comments about how awful it is dealing with Americans. My husband interrupted her and told her that I was American. She turned to me and said, "Then you know what I mean then." Erm...no, I don't. Not only are the staff rude to customers, they're appalling to each other. We had a really good sales assistant, who is normally in Pottery Barn Kids. Our sales associate asked for help printing a receipt, and the other sales associate was so condescending to her. She went to "show her" how to print the receipt, and realized the issue and couldn't do it either. Honestly, if it wasn't for the good sales associate, we would have just ordered online. Save the hassle of dealing with the casually racist, crabby ladies.
Wish I could give 0 stars. I received a delivery of a coffee table and matching nesting side tables. Absolutely apalling quality. The coffee table is totally warped and mis-shapen and the glass top on the side tables doesn't fit inside the frame. I want the items collected and to receive a ful refund and am still awaiting a response from customer service. Even if the items weren't faulty I'd still be very disappointed. Not worth 1/4 of the price I paid for them.
If you can't buy something in store.... don't bother at all. I purchase a pillowcase on September 9, 2021 and STILL have not received a shipping notification. Warehouse move plus a busy Christmas period has apparently results in "significant delays" to their shipments. Absolutely ridiculous. I've been chasing their customer support team for four months for an update on my order, and still nothing. To say I'm frustrated is putting in mildly, especially when the product I ordered wasn't a particularly difficult product to ship. The slap in the face really came when they gave me a 10% discount code to use with them. Why on earth would I make another purchase with them when they haven't fulfilled my original order? Pathetic. Plus, it expired in 30 days .... So yes, if you can't purchase it in store, don't bother buying with them at all. Worst online shopping experience I've ever had.
Poor customer service. I work in the city and go to the city store often. Decorations and products are lovely but sales assistants there are never friendly or make you feel welcome at all. In fact sometimes it seems they look like they are not looking forward to customers coming in. Perhaps it is time to relook into your customer service culture? A mature workforce is great but get the friendly ones perhaps?!!
Repeated Terrible communication. I made an effort to pick items that where in stock to purchase online. It has now been 5 months and none of my order has arrived. They say it has been sent but provide no tracking and everytime I call I get a different reply. Who knows if its even been sent. They provide no follow up to emails as they said they would and have Terrible communication. Seeing s its taken 5 months to send items that where in stock I wouldn't want to.urxhase anything that is on back ordered. The whole experience has been the worst I have ever experienced buying anything. I know the furnature is nice but the company has allot.of work to do. So disappointed.
0 STARS. Horrendous online customer service. First order they delivered the wrong item and refused to take any responsibility. Waited a long time for the refund. Second online order should have learnt from the first negative experience! was SHOCKING. Long delays in delivery. Items missing. Despite multiple calls to the customer service team we have yet to receive our missing bedside table and they do not appear to be concerned and are unwilling to provide any update. We also returned a faulty item from the second order and yet again, no refund received. DO NOT SHOP AT POTTERY BARN IN AUSTRALIA. Read the reviews. We are now lodging a complaint with the ACCC.
Don’t order from Pottery Barn or West Elm online - your order will take months/years to arrive. Check out their Facebook page complaints from hundreds of angry customers. Refunds are not being honoured in a timely manner either.
Customer service department is unbelievably shocking. I was sent 4 packages with tracking to DHL. All 4 got marked delivered, but I only recieved 1. I've been back and forth with them for a month now and every time I email, someone different responds who doesn't understand the situation. I've called DHL a number of times with hour long wait times and they don't know where my packages are. I've paid for these items, where are they?
Don’t bother buying any items from Pottery Barn Perth that require delivery until after they finish moving their storage warehouse. I bought 2 x pendant lights in the Perth store on July 15 2021 and was not told about any potential delivery delays at time of purchase. Delivery charge on top of purchase price was $159. After weeks of hearing nothing regarding my delivery, I made several phone calls to the store and was told to ring the delivery company ANC. To make a long story short and after more phone calls, ANC finally confirmed my delivery booking for 11th October 12 weeks and 6 days after purchase. Not sure if I’m just one of those unfortunate customers that fell through the cracks but have been quite disappointed with customer service all around through this experience.
0 Stars! The worst customer service online I have ever received. Do not shop here. Pottery barn has stolen $556 from me. They have been promising me for 3 weeks to send me an E gift card to resolve the issue as they sent me the wrong items I bought online, which I sent back because of their mistake. Every time I speak to someone they say the e gift card is being processed. This has been an ongoing disaster for 9 months, since they sent the wrong items. So PB have my $556 and I have nothing!!!! That is theft. Every time you call or email you get another useless customer service rep, who spins more lies. I am taking this further. Disgusting from what you would think would be a reputable company.
