Story

Jyoti has spent much time traversing the world and in 2014 came to her family's home town with a vision of creating a space where she could translate her experiences onto the plate.

The food is fresh, local, wholesome, and is made with love to nourish the soul. It varies from vegetarian to vegan, and there are a bunch of raw and gluten-free options.
The coffee is roasted locally and the beans are organic and fairtrade. We have house-roasted cold brew and filter coffees and feature T2 Tea.

There are beautiful smoothies, juices (including cold pressed) and house-made chutneys & jams.

From humble beginnings growing up in a rainforest in Tasmania, to living in Sydney and then 10 years in Melbourne, Jyoti has accumulated 20 years of hospitality experience ranging from owning night clubs to running cafes and bars to coordinating events.

Pollen 185 has a beautiful staff team featuring three highly experienced baristas.

Had an amazing lunch. With help from the lovely Bianca I chose The Italian Stallion Bruschetta. So full of flavour and just the right size. Topped this off with the Olde timey lemonade soda was a great refreshing finish. Just remember to stir the lemonade. I will be back.
I’m sure it was just the meal I ordered but it was so tasteless and I didn’t enjoy it at all pad Thai noodles or something. However it is SUCH a nice atmosphere, very laid back and relaxed and a nice place to hang out with friends or catch up for coffee. Will defining be returning because i have high hopes that everything else is super tasty and nice!
Vegetarian and vegan dishes with a hipster feel. We liked the huevos rancheros version of scrambled eggs with spinach in a wrap. Coffee with ABC milk almond, Brazil nut and cashew was on the other hand a big let down and considered a mistake. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. For some reason they don't issue tax receipts in store, they can only email them.
Nice cosy atmosphere with room for decent groups. Amazing vegan food with good portion size. Vegan scramble was incredible.

I was lured in by the amazing smell and I stayed for the magic. And magical it was, a full experience of smells, tastes, sounds, sights, and texture. The best meal I have eaten in Adelaide since moving from the US. A Mind Blooming experience; a true master artist at work. The chef and owner was accompanied by a kind, well-informed and very beautiful woman in the front of house. 10 star breakfast, sublime, special to that time and place in that moment with the beautiful food and perfection experienced. Hearts and keep up the good life.
The food in this place was AMAZING. The owner of the cafe is such an unusual character and she definitely brings soul to the place. If you want to be inspired by the different and surprising vegan and vegetarian dishes this is the place to be. The feed me package is highly recommended to be able to try all the restaurant has to offer. I will happily visit again.
Very chill place. Great vegetarian food. Friendly staff. Cosy environment. Had the savoury french toast as did my mum. Very deceiving when looking at the plate. It was very filling and I could not finish it. Also had a pot of English breakfast tea. Also a very decent amount of tea for one. Probably could serve two people. Highly recommend trying them
Sunday lunchtime, 8 of us had the central table. We spent $224, so you know, paying customers not like we are taking up seats just for coffee... our friends baby spilled the Campari just ordered and it was apparently a big deal. They would not replace it and we still paid for it even though not a sip was taken! We probably wouldn’t have been annoyed but the attitude it was served with was appalling from the manager the waitress was actually great. Add to that they had run out of almond milk, champagne and my French toast was served without the coconut yoghurt and when I asked for it again more attitude. All of the meals were creative but the flavours pretty average for the price point. Plenty of other dining options on this stretch would never return. I think management in any other establishment would be flexible enough to replace a spilled drink when you consider how cheap it is at wholesale price, and just for good service really. Again I would like to thank the waitress as we saw her approach the manager asking to replace our drink twice, she was a sweety. Check out the other one star reviews which have the same issues as us. We had an older person with us also....
Wow. People posting snarky reviews for this venue. This place is gorgeous. Accommodating, great food, lovely people. And whilst I was having a coffee there last week, they had their regular health inspection and the inspector was rapt with the place, the standards and the people. The reviews below seem a tad vindictive for whatever reason. Love this place. Great food, great people. More please.
