Plenty Gorge Park
"Plenty Gorge Park offers a wide range of natural and cultural experiences only 20 km from Melbourne, where the spectacular gorge sets a backdrop for stunning landscape views and the abundant native wildlife are always on show.Walk the tracks to the beautiful gorge and marvel at the diverse wildlife living within the park. Shaped by volcanic activity, the Plenty River is a dividing line between two distinct geological types. The basalt on the west and sedimentary rock on the eastern side generate a wonderful diversity of habitats, making the park an important refuge for both threatened and regionally significant species.Enjoy a picnic or barbecue in the park with a range of recreation and picnic areas to suit everyone."

Best place to see kangaroo in metro area of melb, nice footpath for all age group, for someone wants explore, there are 5 hours moderate hiking trail also available,
This is a huge park, if you want cover everything it may take up to a day. Sounds like a gem of a park! Surrounded by homes, with ponds attracting all sorts of birds, and kangaroos hopping about—what a unique blend of urban and natural beauty. Spending a whole day there would be quite the adventure!
Nestled amongst residential properties is this wetland. I had hoped this would have led me into Plenty Gorge Parklands but that didn't seem to be the case with the walkways leading you to the roads surrounding this oasis without any signage or paths that lead you into the greater Parkland area. Still an enjoyable walk around this scenic area home to Black Swans and other Waterfowl.
Perfect area for walking around running cycling or swimming.nThis spot has a different loop with different lengths. You can easily get access to pond or lake with 20 minutes walk. Also this place has a designed road for cycling.
Great park with plenty river access. No toilets or kids play equipment access to get under the bridge
