I WORK HERE!!!! I love it here, I use to shop here as a kid and now as an adult I guess I’m considered an adult now work here. I have great work mates and amazing bosses who I love. And of course Alley cat who could forget about her. She’s my partner in crime. But honestly working here is great. Customers local will know me as the quite one, I don’t have much VOLUME! let’s just say any place where a staff member writes a review on their down time because their bored is a good place to shop.

Great place to shop for all those often hard to find bits and pieces at very reasonable prices, Good quality merchandise and helpful staff.

A great Aladdin's cave for anything you might need if they have it in store. Not high end but that's the point for the kind of things you'd buy there. When the airline lost my cases I was able to easily replace some basic items like reading and sunglasses to bridge the gap.

Value for money if you don't have alot. But they have just about everything you would want for under $5.

I used to go to Whitianga all the time when I was younger, and I still remember when Pinky's first open and it was awesome. However, upon returning to Whitianga, after many years, this year, my fiancee and I unfortunately had a bad experience. I have a valid mask exemption as I find it extremely hard to breathe at times, but I wear a mask when I can. When I was in Pinky's I was not wearing a mask as I was finding it hard to breathe that day. After wandering around half of the store, a team member came up to me and asked me to put a mask on, upon which I showed my exemption card and said I was exempt and finding it hard to breathe. The team member then walked away and got someone else who said about wearing a mask and I started saying that "in the law it states..." and this other team member assuming senior cut me off and said "I don't care what the law states, wear a mask or get out". As I was struggling to breathe I left and was followed out. I work in retail myself and found my experience to be poor customer service.  While I understand requiring masks to be worn, the valid mask exemptions should be accepted as people have them for a reason. And after reading some of the other reviews on here, as well as my family members having had a bad experience, and finding other people have had bad experiences, I think your customer service needs to be worked upon. Please Pinky's reconsider your customer service skills. At this stage I will not be returning to Pinky's.

My recent visit to Pinkies was short and sweet. They had everything we were looking for. We had a laugh with the cashier as we left. Good experience

Very nice staff, and lots of different things to buy.

I love this place. It is like a $2 Dollar place. It has everything from tent pegs to stationary, it's as cheap as chips and the staff are knowledgeable, patient, informative and friendly. I've been there as often as I can get there because everytime I've been, it's been an excellent experience, and I just want to keep going back. It's almost better than the warehouse!

Great range. You name it, really. Plenty of room. You could spend a LOT of time here!
