Absolutely beautiful scenery and views of Dunedin. I thought it was an easy track, and a great spot for a bit of lunch. There are other tracks up there as well so I'm looking at going back up this weekend and following those too. Magic place.
Moderate side of easy walk. Takes a couple of hours from Whare flat, bull ring, to Fulton Rd in Glenleith. Fantastic Dunedin Views.Recommended activitiesWalking, Hiking
Great hiking / trail running track located close to Dunedin. We went on a sunny day, the surface is single track mainly with not much mud and well maintained throughout. There are a couple of drinking fountains along the way near the start of the track and by the water processing plant, but no toilets. Moderately steep track but still runnable for an average to fit runner with no gnarly bits.
An excellent and very popular Dunedin walking track that meets up with the shorter Flagstaff Track summit above 3 Mile Hill. Superb views on a clear day. Watch the weather - it can close in quickly on a changeable day.
Don't know how many times I've run this one, but it's still just as steep as ever.

Absolutely brilliant now that they are re-surfacing the tracks. Just the right amount of climbing to get the heart rate up, and a scenic warm down. A trapse through the trees in Sun light is quite beautiful, an the bird life, tui, bell birds, and fanatics are in abundance here.
Good, steep walk if you go from Booth Rd end, and links up with lots of other tracks once you're at the top. Good views
exceptional views, tough trek up starting in Leith valley and rising up through nicols falls mountainbike tracks.. well worth the work.
