Popped in today for lunch for the fish which came highly recommended; was not disappointed! Location is down near the foreshore as well which is fabulous. There is also a fabulous bar inside as well!! A strong recommend me!
Very fast service from the kitchen. Great presentation and excellent taste. A good range of beers and the music wasn’t too bad either! Would I recommend this place - yes definitely.
Got the seafood basket and grilled scallops. Food was decent, enjoyed particularly the panko crumbed fish and fried prawns.
We ordered the mixed platter and would highly recommend, although id probably ask for no extra/added salt next time as it was a tad bit too salty. Oysters were fire though! Really fresh, clean taste and the battered fish was just what you want, crispy outside, soft and melt in your mouth on the inside!
Best food! Squid tender as, prawn tacos delicious! Lamb burger scrumptious, and chicken schnitzel exceptional! Will be back!
A stunning meal at Phat Fish. The pulled lamb should on a bed of sweet potato chips was delicious . Crumbed prawns fresh & perfectly cooked. Great experience under the outdoor heaters on a chilly night. Great service as well.
Myself and three others wanted seafood and decided this place looked nice, we wondered why it was nearly empty on a Friday night but ordered food anyway. The staff were friendly and having fun, so much so they forgot to send the food to the kitchen to make which one of us found out after an hour when we enquired as to where our food was. In the hour after we ordered where not much was going on, it hadn't occurred to them to see where it was or remember to follow up. Very inept and we wouldn't recommend, makes sense why they were near empty. Appears the staff didn't have sufficient training or skills to effectively run the restaurant
Dropped in for the Wednesday Fish n Chips with a glass of wine special for $25. Great value, crispy batter on the fish, a nice bit of salad, and the BEST chips. Fluffy, crispy and oh so hot!
One upon a time, I would’ve given this place 5 stars. But now, I definitely wouldn’t. Headed here for a drink on a Saturday night - place was completely empty. Their signature fish bowls are now pre-mixes that are sickly sweet and hard to drink. The staff were unengaged and kind of rude - hard to believe they’d be rude to us when we were the only people in the joint. Had our one drink and left. Huge shame - it use to be a go-to for us on a Saturday night.
Had a lovely family lunch here and were really happy. It was quite busy for lunch but the guy behind the bar was really calm, friendly and professional. They brought us a complementary bread as they were so busy which was nice. When the food arrived it was delicious and very filling. Super happy, will visit again!
