I couldn’t have had a better experience. If I tried we rocked up trying to save the lives of two pepper catfish and became instantly overwhelmed with all the things we needed to cycle a tank to get these guys in ASAP. Callum came to the rescue gave us some great advice and just made the experience so much easier and less overwhelming. I have pet stores closer to me then Petstock in Golden Square but I have to say that I will travel to Golden Square every time because of the staff. These two fishes are about to live in a very natural tank with good quality substrate and natural decorations with eventually a nice range of live plants and a couple of extra friends…….Eventually. Every single time we go to this store the multiple staff members working are ignorant and unhelpful. No greeting as you walk in or browse. No acknowledgement when you’re standing at the counter to ask for help or purchase something…and if you can finally get the attention of one of them to ask for advice they just tell you they have no idea about pet products anyway? Why are you working at a Pet supplies store if you don’t know anything about pet food, supplements or harnessing?nnAfter a dozen times of going back here to purchase pet supplies and being treated like we’re invisible we decided to put our stuff back, drive further out to Petbarn and spend more money on the same product for their good service!!!nnWe recently bought a flea treatment when our puppy got fleas at the dog park. Originally we wanted one brand in particular and were sold something double the price on recommendation of the manager. After application it stunk the whole house out and did not even get rid of the handful of fleas on on our puppy so we returned it. The person who sold it to us told us it’s not their problem and to contact the company directly. Waste of $126.nnGoogle would better serve you than this place. We have given them too many chances.
I can’t recommend Paige enough! My staffy x is the sweetest boy, but when it comes to nail trims, he’s been extremely anxious from traumatic nail trimmings received as a puppy. For the 2 years I’ve had him, I honestly didn’t think we’d ever get through a session without anti-anxiety meds.nnAfter 5–6 visits with Paige, her patience, care for and genuine fondness for my “scary looking” baby have completely changed the game. She’s never rushed him, always respected his boundaries and built up his trust at his pace.nnToday, for the very first time, she trimmed all his nails, no meds and in just 15–20 minutes! I’m absolutely stunned and so grateful. Paige truly has a gift with animals.
Very good staff. Helpful and courteous.nHave a large range of product and prices are on par with others.
