While less busy compared to other Australian airports, its the only other airport besides Melbourne where there is no need to take laptops out of the bag.nLarge numbers of mining workers appear to make up a majority of the passengers.nPlenty of space in the domestic and international check-in areas.nThere are decent cafes and shops in the terminals.
My local airport love it the viewing platform outside and the t1 one I am a plane photographer so I enjoy it every time also the airport is just great
I booked a flight away from Perth and they decided not to let me go by delaying all flights to a from with fuel issues. I would not recommend. Planes need fuel to fly.nWe were provided with meal vouchers, however we lined up at two separate cafes, only to be turned away because they didn't accept them.nFinal option was the Hungry Jacks which ran out of breakfast foods at 7am.. We finally received our order and we're missing some small chips.nFlight was further delayed and taxi vouchers were provided by the airline which were very helpful.nWaited for a Maxi Taxi outside where there is limited roofing.nOverall, a great experience. Below is a photo with the taxi driver who was pretty good. Would recommend.
This airport does everything right; it's a good first port of call, especially if you're travelling to Australia for the first time. Also the connection to Perth station awesome!
Pros :n- Ground staff around check-in very helpful. Virgin and Singapore airline countern- The link to train system are seamless, very inclusive for wheelchair user.n- Domestic terminal very close by to International terminal, easy for transfer.n- Plenty of seats. Paid massage chair available.n- Showers available near check-in area.nnCons :n- Not alot of F&B option once checkedin Tobys, Jerky, hungry Jack, etcn- The walk from parking lot and train station are between 10-15 minutes.n- No 24H transport. Earliest train 5.30 am.n- No sleeping area.
