Very high quality food and exceptional service. We were pleasantly surprised by the inventiveness of the food, the quality of preparation and presentation of the food. Easily rivals Lake House. I can't wait to go back for more.
Just had the best dinner experience tonight with a delicious 3 course meal. As newly local, we have passed this place many times but didn't realise what we've been missing. A great place for a special occasion with incredibly friendly and attentive staff what went that extra mile!

Overall a disappointing night out. The atmosphere was great but food and service quite poor for the price. Staff lacked any warmth - you get better service at Mcdonalds. Food was rushed out to us very quickly before we had even finished the previous course, a result of the staff probably wanting to get out asap. The food itself was presented well but lacked flavour. Chocolate dessert was the high point of the night. Would not recommend and suggest owners to train your staff better.
The food was AMAZING however, the service was very unusual. We were there for 3 hours and could barely get their attention for a drink! No offer for coffee and didn't come back for our wine order so we ended up leaving straight after our meal.
Second time at the perfect drop and we were underwhelmed. The langoustine starter was perfect the bread was perfect. The lemon butter with the bread was delicious. But it was let down by the service and the mains. We poured our own wine which is not a deal breaker but unexpected. The mains were rather sad. The salmon was well undersized for a main, pushing 80gr at best. Cooked well, but far too small. The Lamb was well portioned but a lot of style over substance. The menu overall could do with some sides. On the whole I won't be returning when Daylesford is offering more value and experience for money elsewhere. And to top it off 200% markup on wine is ridiculous. A $25 wine selling for 72 is a rort.
Really great kitchen turning out fantastic degustation dining, with a casual ambience. Have been coming here for years and we're never disappointed. Particularly wonderful in their care for dietary restrictions, they go above and beyond to ensure everyone has an impressive experience. This place is the best of Daylesford.
The experience was good. Had 7 courses option, which was good, can be very surprisingly. Quail wasn't on it's point of cook, to rare for a white meat. Dessert wasn't something special, just chocolate and ice cream, I was so looking foward for a nice dessert. Definetely great atmosphere and impeccable service.
We were welcomed at the door. Although we were too early for a meal we were given courteous attention and made comfortable with a lovely wine in front of an open fire. The meal was fantastic and the atmosphere warm and calming. I highly recommend Perfect Drop for a drop-in meal, wine and just to relax between tourist attractions
Booked a table for 6.30pm on a Sunday night to fit in perfectly with a day of spa treatments in Daylesford which I had arranged for my partners 30th birthday. However I received a call at 4.00pm on the Sunday whilst I was at the spa and was told we had to either come in at 5.30pm or 8.30pm. We wouldn't be ready for the 5.30pm and would not have lasted until the 8.30pm. It was such a shame that we had to cancel the booking and go elsewhere, especially when I had booked this restaurant specially for his birthday. What made the experience particularly annoying was that the employee who rang me was not even apologetic about the situation. He just kept saying that there were two sitting and I had to pick one. It really ruined our day.
