What an amazing place to eat! The service was awesome, all the staff were lovely, attentive, and informative. The food was so good! My photos don't do justice to just how good it was. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu
It's the complete dining experience. Attentive, thoughtful service, great food and drinks and a beautiful space.
Took my wife to her favourite restaurant...never disappointed...the service is always exceptional and the food is amazing, mostly locally sourced. If you are looking for a great dining experience then Belvedere Social is your place.
Service was not good, starting with being asked if we wanted sparkling or still water - answered sparking, received still. We choose the "feed me" option which one would think would be some of the more interesting options on the menu, but it was not. Entrees were good and on time. The wait staff did not tell us what we were eating, and we had to ask but they had to check with the chef. Next, they gave my wife and me a bowl of overcooked chips and under-cooked steak it was cooked less than rare. Main took an hour to arrive. While we paid for two, they gave us one steak to share. Unprofessional experience. Their focus seems to be trying to be trendy, rather than concentrating on good food and service. Not recommended.
The food was quite wonderful and clearly enjoyed and respected by the restaurant personnel as well as ourselves. Menu and food were created by a chef with training and expertise in the classic French cuisine methods. It was a lovely, welcoming haven on a very stormy day and even came with hot teas and exquisite meals. It feels like this lovely place is somewhat 'under the radar' so highly recommend you make your way there if you only have time to visit one place on your visit. Lots of local produce in season is the basis of the menu. Sometimes, neighbor complaints allowing, some excellent live music as a complete bonus.
This place was a real let down! We went for dinner and were looking forward to a nice night out but it was a terrible experience. Poor service from the waitress who was trying to look busy whilst ignoring the needs of guests and had to be barked at by the owner to clear tables, really killing the vibe. The food descriptions are so pretentious! It seems they want you to order meat and vegetables separately, so $36 just for a steak and $21 for carrots makes it unreasonably expensive. We left hungry to meals were not generous. The food was terrible. I don't mind paying $36 for a steak but I expect it to taste like a $36 steak - I've literally eaten better steak at the TAB - and that steak was crap. Husband's dish consisted of boiled vegetables in a watery, flavourless stew which resembled dish water. The waiter took our friends dessert and coffee order and disappeared without asking our side of the table. We tried to get the waitress's attention to order but it was impossible. Cannot recommend this place, it's a wonder with slick marketing and a nice location but they won't have many repeat customers - if at all.
We had lunch here as part of a planned wine tour with Daylesford Wine Tours. The venue is modern, clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and the wines and food were also wonderful. It was very quiet on the day we were there only 3 other tables in, but this meant that we had the full attention of the staff. There was a long wait for our food over half an hour, but we actually didn’t notice as we were too engrossed in conversations with each other and the staff. We only realised when the waitress gave us free top ups on wines to “apologise for the wait” - excellent customer service in our book. We also sampled the chocolate desert which, like the rest of the food, was exceptional in flavour and presentation. Highly recommend this place.
We ordered a beef like dish, it tastes great. After that we ordered a house salad for 10dollars, it tastes so horrible,it's sour, you can't even eat it. At last I paid with my card but they didn't even tell me at all about surcharge. It's a terrible place, it made my day absolutely horrible. It's not worth what u pay. Not recommended. :
Excellent service and quality food. Didn't have to wait long at all. Dinner here was the highlight of my weekend away!! Great for couples or big groups - especially ladies night. We were inside however I would recommend booking the courtyard as it looks pretty with the vines and fairy lights.
We had heard great things about the Belvedere Social club, so we booked in for dinner. The setting of the restaurant is sophisticated & we loved the philosophy. We were greeted warmly by the owners. We decided we would order the chef's table and ordered matched wines and cocktails. We provided our food preferences and alergies. Unfortunately the food was underwhelming. Some dishes were bland with little to no taste. Also the matched wines were a little backward, particularly the alleged "pinot noir" which was served with our main chicken course it tasted like a cab sav - way too heavy for this dish. Also when the first cocktail arrived the waiter had forgotten about my citrus allergy and served me a cocktail with grapefruit. When we pointed this out to the waiter he was most apologetic and assured us he could still match cocktails without it. But, when the next round of cocktails came he had still added citrus to the cocktail. Very disappointing! Overall, considering the price and expectations it completely under-delivered. Would only go back because of how lovely the owners were, and because I believe in 2nd chances.
