Lovely cafe in East Brisbane, went there for Sunday breakie/brunch.nnCafe is on a busy road but we found parking down a side street.nnThe venue is very busy on a Sunday so make sure you bought ahead, learnt this from previous experience.nnSpied the array of pastries on the counter which looked delicious, as well as their cinnamon rolls which they are known for and made a mental note to order one of those.nnThe staff were very friendly and we were seated quickly. There was another big table in the same room that had lots of young children and the kids were being very noisy. At first I was going to ask to be moved but then we noticed they were preparing to leave. The room were have been far too noisy for conversation otherwise.nnFirst item ordered was the cinnamon rolls- it served warm with soft serve, also ordered bacon and eggs muffin, eggs on toast and the Bennie muffin.nnCoffee and meals arrived quickly, the cinnamon roll was shared between 4 and was a highlight! Make sure you order one if you go. It’s is decadent and delicious.nnI also really enjoyed my bacon and eggs muffin, it came with a spicy aioli sauce which really elevated the dish.nnEnjoyed our breakfast and will be back.
I’ve been meaning to try Pawpaw for a very long time, I always pass it and always looks super busy! We came last weekend with my niece and tried the tea pancake special and the signature hash breakfast.nnAll the food was great, really tasty and well presented. Service was a bit hit and miss - some staff members were amazing, others didn’t know which drinks they were even bringing us.nnOverall I would return here again!
My friends and I had a really enjoyable brunch here today Sunday. We booked ahead and our table of 8 was in a wonderful, sunny spot inside with a view out on to the street. The booking was for 2 hours and we didn't feel rushed. The coffee was great and the food was delicious and came out quickly. I had the mac and cheese and wasn't disappointed. The service was efficient and friendly, the bathrooms were clean and spacious. We were all coming from different directions within Brisbane and surrounds and the location was a good central point, easy to get to by bus and free parking close by. It would be great to come back and try the more of the menu, particularly the more lunch suitable options.
I just love this place and it’s been years that I come at this place as it has got amazing food. The staff is very good and they cater all our needs well. I just love the signature hash and every time this is one thing which I always order. The brekky burger is also too good. This place has the best coffee and hot chocolate as well. I would highly recommend people to try out this Cafe. It has such a cool vibe.
I remember when this cafe had a nice take on the Asian cuisine, which included lychees in their curries and other goodies. Unfortunately the food was not to the usual standard. Curry puffs were incredible although the mains were a disappointment.nnThe pad see ew was overly sweet, to the point we had to order extra limes and chilli to offset the sweetness. If ordering the yellow curry, remember to include a protein- otherwise it would just be a soups. Credit to the staff they took $5 off the bill- not sure why it was a $5 discount nnWe were the only patrons there on an early Thursday evening, by the time it got to 6.30pm, it started getting busier.
