Visited the Norman Hotel for the first time and it was a great experience! The steak was juicy and oysters are great. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a nice open garden area to dine in. Portions are generous, and service was friendly and efficient. Prices are on the higher side, but worth it for the quality. A must-visit if you're a steak lover in Brisbane!
The steamed greens were beautiful but the Buffalo Wings were a let down. As the chicken were dry, luckily not totally dry, the edges were dry, sauce was lovely, so the chefs need to sort that out. I didn't order Steak, not a steak person and wasn't that hungry. Dry chicken is a No No.
For a great Aussie steak experience, this is a wonderful introduction to the country. The Norman is a huge venue with ample space to accommodate large parties, and with several different bars located on the property, you shouldn't have to wait too long to get your favorite beverage. As with many restaurants today, you can scan a QR code at your table to order your meal. They have many different cuts of meat from which to choose, so I'd strongly suggest that you give them a look over in the deli case adjacent to the till. The steaks all come with 2 sides, but the menu has many additional options available. If you don't like beef, there are other kinds of meat available. The restaurant is also kid friendly, which is a must from those with small kids. The baked potatoes are not very impressive and seem more boiled than baked. The steaks were prepared nicely, but the flavors are not as robust as other places I've tried. For a family night out or for guests who may be visiting, this is still a great choice!
Can’t fault anything with the Norman Hotel. We booked last minute for a large group for a celebration and offered the private Longhorn room. It as a great space away from the crowds.nOur large group comfortably fitted around the long set up table. With ample space to walk around and socialise. It had warmth and great ambiance. Everyone loved the vibe, the service and the food was awesome! Great sizes! Staff were awesome. Shout out to Camilla event coordinator and Will!
Amazing selection of meats , I got the ribs fell of the bone and partner had the eye fillet, cooked perfectly.nNice place , easy to order, and friendly staff
