This cafe has lovely cakes and as you can see, excellent coffee with breakfast burger. Luckily the day I arrived it was on promo price. Delicious and great value. Thank you so much to the staff at this great cafe
Has really gone downhill in the last 12 months. Poor, surly borderline rude service, crazy high prices and what looks like mass produced pies. And I’ve never seen a more sad looking vanilla slice, lopsided, no topping to speak of, and really thin. I wouldn’t be so annoyed as I am, if the one in the cabinet which I thought I was getting, didn’t look so tasty. Shame I didn’t look in the bag until I got home. Spend your money elsewhere
Always busy when we walk past we decided to stop and take a load off. The coffee and hot chocolate were good and the lemon tart was excellent.
Got some pastries and a birthday cake for my girlfriends birthday. And I can’t thank you guys enough for doing such an awesome job!! Everyone has said they were the best and my girlfriend has requested the birthday cake every year from now on!!
I have just edited my previous 5 star reviews. I used to regularly come here for spinach & feta sausage roll, pastry and coffee. Long black coffees were always excellent. Unfortunately now with new owners ?, available stock at lunch time was more limited, $7 chicken pie had no discernable chicken but rather what looked like thin chicken gravy, lemon tart still excellent but the first sour coffee I have ever had there. Good things come to an end....
Tiny little place with a few tables inside and quite a few outside with large umbrellas for shelter. Really nice selection of tarts and other desserts. By the look of all the Royal Show ribbons, they have been around for a while and have won heaps of awards. You order and pay at the counter. It was pretty busy but the ladies working there had a good system and we had ours orders quickly. We had the French Lemon Tart, Baked Cheesecake and Lemon Meringue Pie. Nobody wanted to share cause they were so delicious. My Lemon Tart has the perfect amount of zing. The Tart bases seem to be the same but they were lovely and held together well. The coffee was very nice.
One of our favourite cafes to drop into in Freo! Try the frangipane tart, lemon meringue tart, long mac topped up, milkshakes etc. Grab an outside table for some people watching.
Great coffee and pastries. Good place to chat and sit outside with a view of south terrace.
Not going to lie, the baked goods are great. Very hard to beat. Unfortunately the customer service is a little lacking. It isn't all the staff, as the majority are friendly and helpful. If you want some great cakes or other baked sweetness then go here. Just don't expect the most amazing experience.
Has been a favourite cafe for years but the cappuccino yesterday was downright ordinary. Hopefully not to be repeated
