Parsons is a 1920s-40s Australian bar dedicated to the revival of a once culturally vibrant strip.

Story

Parsons Bar and Kitchen is situated in the heart of Potts Point.

We pride ourselves on offering a quality, independent selection of craft beers and boutique wines, as well as a diverse range of unique cocktail creations.
Our menu has been inspired by the flavours of Europe and the Mediterranean and has been styled to encourage communal eating.

Parsons is fully owner operated and is open Tuesday - Saturday from 5pm until Midnight.

Great little bar with surprisingly delicious food. Often simple dishes just done well, lots of flavour that all fits together really nicely. Drinks are good, prices are fair but lean towards good value. One of our local favorites
The service was wonderful: the waiter was so attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, perhaps a little less than I'd normally eat but we just had mains and no sides/starters/puds and was very good value. I had the Ragu and on other reviews' recommendation my husband had the blackened skirt steak. I would recommend them both. We came on Saturday and I was able to take advantage of their $12 martini deal in happy hour 8-10pm and it was splendid. Decor was lovely and we sat outside with fairy lights. Overall very impressed.
Had a fabulous evening here on Saturday. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and quirky. The cocktails were sublime and perfectly balanced. I could go back every day for more they were so good! The food was presented with a flair akin to hatted restaurants yet priced very reasonably for the area and the effort involved. Decor and design was inviting, intimate and funky. Will definitely be returning!
My friends and I came here on a Thursday evening when they were trying out the new menu, so we were lucky enough to get a few sample dishes free of charge with our wine. It was quiet for a Thursday evening we were the only ones at the bar, and we sat just inside and bantered with the staff. Everyone was very friendly and their seasonal menu tasted lovely, they had some lovely stuffed zucchini and a few other dishes including some very good chips. Would definitely recommend Parsons.
A friend found Parsons on Google and based on the reviews we thought we'd try it. Immediately in entry we were greeted by one of the owners who was a real charmer. He recommended a house wine, which was absolutely lovely. A smooth tempranillo. Next he recommended some of the dishes to share including trout, beef ragout and skirt steak. All meals were delicious. We will definitely return, if not for another of the house reds then certainly the food. Just to add all of the above was extremely well priced and I left with a heavier wallet and a full belly. Good work guys and hope to see you again real soon.
Absolutely amazing! The blackened skirt steak is possibly the tastiest steak I’ve ever eaten. Cocktails were great, atmosphere was relaxed, staff so friendly it was like talking with an old mate! Will definitely be back
One of the best places in Potts Point. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The knowledge of all staff with regard to drinks and food is second to none. Definitely go here if you want to enjoy some fine whiskey and chat about it with the barkeep for hours!
Hello all Had a 40th for my brother here so we booked out the venue. In short, the manager and most of the male staff were less than impressive during the night, which is a shame as i'd been here several times before and love the venue. Running a bar requires service be top of the list. Not here folks; they have a piano no-one plays and yet they complain about sound when a trained pianist is playing, and give warnings such as "don't break the slate or all hell will break loose" as they serve you food. Plus vegetarian options are limited. It's lucky they get 2 stars from me, though I love the venue. No doubt some numpty from the venue will reply to this post and offer some request for contact or other pathetic excuse. Change management and this place is awesome. Best way to do this place - don't book anything. They'll disappoint. Walk in off the street and make them earn your attention. If they don't, go next door, the French dude is far more interesting. I'll be surprised if this place is still around in a year, so if you want to experience it in current state, get in early. PG
Great little place in Potts Point! Amazing service, great great dishes, the fries are amazing, kind of like tempura. The wings, the ribs, the charcuterie platter with home made paté. Nothing I could fault at all. Wish I had more room to try everything.
I loved eating here. We ate two excellent dinners at Parsons Bar while on holiday in Sydney. The beef & brie burger is not to be missed along with the fall off the bone hickory smoked short ribs. I also really enjoyed the smokey pork belly burger. If you like dessert do not pass up the ice cream sandwich. If you like cookies and you like gelato then this dessert will make you swoon. I don't think it sat on our table for more than 3 minutes before it was gone. If your staying in the area be sure to give this place a try.
