Booked a last minute dinner here with a friend on Saturday evening and everything was perfect. We had the set menu which was fairly priced at $75 per head for 3 courses and each dish that came out was delicious! They catered to our dietaries without any issues at all. The service was also great and the wine was beautiful. The whole vibe that Dear Saint Eloise offers is a lot of fun but also relaxing. Thanks again guys! We will be back :
A really cute venue, it’s a great spot for a small group of people. Overall the food was tasty and fresh, the only dish we didn’t love was the lamb rump and we also would have thought that they could have given us more mussels. Staff are lovely and they have a great wine selection available.
Superb meal with eclectic, perfectly executed, well-portioned, and tasty dishes. The service was stellar and efficient, and I tried wines I'd never seen before at a very reasonable price. It's also an extremely chic and inviting space-- and for those of us still covid-aware, the massive open windows and outdoor options make a perfect setup. I only wish this place was in NYC and that it wouldn't be too awkward to return every day of my trip.
One of the most delicious menu tasting I had in town! We have been welcomed by the staff and they explained the menu. We had the menu tasting and it was so tasty from the beginning with bread and dips to the end ! I do not like anchovy but the one we had on our menu tasting was delicious so compliments to the chef. The wine list do have a great range for all wallets! Well done to the chefs, waiters and back of house!
Lovely service and a cute spot for eats or wine. The menu was small but each order was packed full of flavour. Tuna tartare was on the saltier side. The anchovy brioche was amazing.
We had an amazing dining experience at Dear Sainte Éloise on Sunday. It was my last lunch with my bestie before I fly back home. They kindly accommodated our request for a window seating and the staff were all friendly and their recommendations on food and wine selection were great! We will definitely come back and thank you team at Dear Sainte Éloise!
Had a enjoyable and beautiful lunch at this charming space. Food was very comforting and delicious, service was warm-hearted. The porcini croquette was so delicate it just melted in your mouth. Will return for sure.
We came for the set menu booking on a Friday evening you definitely need to book to reserve a seat; the space is intimate and tailored for small group bookings. Each dish was dainty but delicious, and perfect for sharing in a company of two. The set menu featured: Marinated olives Romesco dip, fried capers, sourdough Angelachu andhovy, brioche, pickles Brussel sprouts, pickled currants, walnuts, reggiano with Leaf Salad Blank Angus Tri-Tip Au Poivre Flan, bitter yuzu caramel The highlights for me where the romesco dip and the brussel sprouts. The lowlight was the flan, which was too bitter for my liking. Overall, the flavours worked well together and I hope to visit again and try something new I’m not sure if the set menu is seasonal! The wine menu is my real drawcard for wanting to return. As my company was late, I enjoyed reading each of the pages, including the story of Dear Saint Elouise, and all of the details in grapes, wine varieties and the extensive selection to choose from For the adventurous, you can pick a mystery wine, which is on the house if you are able to pick the grape and location My only qualm was that I choose this option, but because we were rushed by the wait staff with the bill at the end, I never got a chance to share my guess and will forever live in ambiguity of knowing whether I was given a riesling or not… Aside from this oversight, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was fantastic. Perfect for a romantic evening or for catching up with dear friends My only other observation is that the set menu is quite pricey for the quantity of food you get, and despite it being a $75 flat fee we got charged $92 each the gap did not add up to what one glass of wine each was worth…
Superb experience. A good friend of mine recommended this place for bf's bday. He was very happy : though we were both very full after entré. Every dish was delightful. Salads were surprisingly fresh and savoury. Dessert was a bliss .. We honestly wished we had two stomach to eat all of them. Highly recommend their set menu. Might bring my parents next time :
I will start with the positives and then negatives. Positives - Ambience, atmosphere, lighting, location were beautiful feels like you are in a little bar in Paris - Would only recommend this place for alcohol as the wine is lovely, although it took them 20 minutes to serve us our glasses of wine somehow. Negatives - Food was honestly awful, that my friend and I felt we could not even go on to order mains and left those out. We ordered some bread, the olives and squash. - The olives tasted expired and were so small and flavourless, we could not even finish them and did not go well with wine. - The bread was cold and not warmed up and tasted fishy like it has been next to prawns. - The squash was literally raw squash, raw zucchini and pumpkin seeds with no flavouring just a bit of olive oil and salt - Completely flavourless and was not a good pairing even with wine. The only reason I chose to write this review is because I felt this place needs to up the food menu asap or just stick to alcohol - Charging almost $20 for a couple of pieces of raw squash, $6 for one piece of cold bread - You won't survive in a amazing food hub that Potts Point offers and having a glass of wine served to you waiting over 20 minutes is poor service. However, the ambiance and atmosphere was lovely and almost made up for the poor service and food.
