Coffee, fine wine, beer and spirits, yes. Snacks, yes. Books and music, sure thing.
We’re a café and a book shop, but we’re also something else; we’re a social space, a place to meet up, sit, read, snack, eat, listen to music, talk. There’s an old hi-fi with record player and everything, you’re welcome to use it. Or bring your iPod and plug it in.
We’re also a place to work, the on-line magazine www.warholschildren.com work from here two days a week, you can too, anytime, bring your laptop and use the wifi, it’s free.
Or you can get a table, draw, write or whatever.
The coffee’s pretty good, we use Little Marionette, and the snacks are strictly old-school, we do the toasties in a French style, buttered on the outside, they’re pretty good too.
At the moment we’re open randomly, between 8am and 9pm, but come August we’ll be open regular hours, with a full menu and all of the other stuff you’d expect from a café.
