Great little Cafe. Out of place in a concrete jungle. Has a great French flair. Can get busy with a queue outside the doors Great selection of pastries, pies, baked items. Difficult choice. Seating is available. Take aways available. Parling outside the door. Bon appetite.
Everything was delicious! Cafe uses specialty coffee, and a french baker bakes everything on site in a little bake-house out back! Staff were lovely. Could not recommend this place any more!
Pies were okay, nothing to rave about. The filling only had one piece of steak and the sauce was really sweet for some reason, weird taste. Pastry was average. Bread also average, typical Kiwi style, that is soft and anaemic. Service was a little stand-offish. Seen worse bakeries around, so gets 3 stars
A gem in Amberley! Great selection of delicious French treats. Especially the baguettes and decadent chocolate eclairs. The staff are very welcoming and the coffee is very good. When visiting Amberley a cafe not to missed. Parking: Plenty of parking at front of bakery

Stopped for a "homemade " steak pie. 1little tiny piece of meat, rest all gelatinous gravy. Awful. Just awful. Just had a Burleigh meat pie in Blenheim. 5 stars for them. Huge pieces of meat in every bite and it's the same price as your pie. You guys need to take a lesson from them.

Yummy Yummy Yummy Great selection of cakes, pastries and pies. I would highly recommend stopping in Amberley for these delights. We stopped on our way to Hanmer and on our way back just to sample some more delicious delights, we even bought some pies home with us. Do visit this bakery even if you're not hungry
