Story

Parea Greek Tavern was formed by two friends who believed there should be a place for friends and family to spend quality time together, sharing good home cooked plates and conversation. We wanted Parea to feel like being at home- relaxed, inviting and friendly.
We only use the freshest produce sourced locally and prepare our food fresh on the premises. All our recipes have been handed down from generation to generation so you’ll feel like you’re eating at ‘yia yia’s’ house.

We offer eat in and take away and can cater up to 90 people, for sit down. We happily welcome larger groups and functions and can offer a banquet menu.

Our guests will always be treated like our parea, we look forward to welcoming you.

Decent local Greek spot. Got the 1kg lamb takeaway pack for $90. Value is not bad at ~$18pp. Lamb was dry and tough at times, didn't seem fresh off the spit Pita and herbed chips were very nice Tzatziki was refreshing. Hummus was nutty and and creamy. Decent.
We enjoy the food from here and have ordered a few times. It is conveniently located, with plenty of parking and enough seating. The meat dishes are flavoursome and are served off the skewer when you take away. This is great as you can decide how much you want to eat instead of eating an entire skewer and filling up before you want to try something else. The service is great. Also nice to see the spit and cooking taking place before you. Gives you an appreciation for your meal preparation.
I highly rate the souvlaki here. All their meats including lamb, beef, chicken and pork are good quality and goes well with the pita bread and chips. Wow certainly recommend. Regards @fooderarri
Local Greek place for a quick bite. We got the lamb spit box with a side of salad and the chicken gyros which was delicious. There's a covid safe pick up spot right outside which was super convenient.
Thank you so much for all your help and advice in catering for my husband’s 50th birthday dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. It was freshly cooked and still piping hot when we served it at home. Everyone was so impressed. An amazing effort by the team at Parea. Thank you so so much. We have driven past this place many times and finally decided to stop in and try their food. Wow!! Everything was so fresh and so beautiful! The bread was soft, the meat so tender and I know this sounds crazy but even the chips were the best I have ever eaten! The only complaint I have is that they only have the one shop but it's well worth travelling to and will definitely be going back very soon!
Great food at a decent price. One of the ladies that works there is always lovely to everyone that walks in. She is an asset to an establishment like this. The only downside as everyone else has mentioned is the baffling cash only policy. Get with the times folks. Tax dodgies are so 1990.
I really used to love this place but the meat is just too salty the last handful of times, chips and Dips are good - one of the best hommus. Wish you could pay by card!

Always forget sauce. I have eaten here twice and both times forgot to put sauce on the gyros. Portions are very small and expensive food for what you get.
