One of the most important bus and train stops are located here. The train station is a 2 way location that goes to Manukau one way and Middlemore the other. There are 2 machines to top up your AT HOP card as well as an attendant at the entrance to assist at any time. Occasionally, you will encounter an AT officer to check if your fare is valid as well as other AT personnel that ensure the door is closed safely. There is public restrooms/toilets on the Shirley Road exit as well as a few bus terminals that can take you outward from Papatoetoe. There is also a dairy/superette to buy an AT HOP card on Shirley road in front of the Bus stop cornering Coronation Place.
Papatoetoe is a suburb in Auckland, New Zealand. One of the larger suburbs of the area commonly known as South Auckland, it is located to the northwest of Manukau Central, and 18 kilometres southeast of Auckland CBD.nnPapatoetoe is a Māori name, which can be loosely translated as 'undulating area where the toetoe is the predominant feature', making it named after the 'Prince of Wales's feather' or toetoe / toi toi, which grew abundantly in the swampy parts of the region. Owing to some confusion over the spelling, the area was known as Papatoitoi for many years.
Great place with a public toilet and bus stations for transferring. but as we know most public toilets are dirty and here is worse than others.
