My nana moved here from another nursing home that was providing her atrocious care. Palm Lake Care is a breathe of fresh air and the staff here have gone above and beyond to help my nana settle in.nnThe room itself is lovely and we were able to decorate it to suit her. The staff are competent and keep us informed. My nana is oxygen dependent and Palm Lake has included her on bus trips which was a huge problem at her last nursing home. The staff don’t make her feel like a burden because of her condition. The activities and facilities are very good.nnThank you Palm Lake Care. Keep up the good work!
No aged care facility is perfect but PLC Deception Bay strives to do so through responding to challenging situations with high level motivation and highly active, friendly and responsive staff. Their care of my mother was brilliant. Our family was highly active in my mother's care, working cooperatively with the staff and administration. Their respect for her at all times and especially at the time of her passing was brilliant.
Was approved for my mother to stay here she needed palliative care. The home was in a red zone for Covid which meant only one visitor a day. I asked the question because mum is in palliative care can we have more visitors as she wants her family with her as she doesn’t have much time left.The answer was no but was quick to say we have only been approved for low care and she needs approval for high care. It’s all about the money in this place needless to say we found a better place for Mum that cared about our situation.
A great morning tea 11th May for all the mothers. Linda ran the morning so well and her decorations were so beautiful which I believe she made all herself. A great credit to her and she should be so happy with the full room of mothers being waited on. A fantastic morning with everyone smiling and have a great time. The added bonus of all the mum's having their photos taken in front of the display with their daughters and maybe a few sons too. Well done Linda. kind regards Maree
