Paekakariki Holiday Park

Nice campground if you have a good spot. At first we were put close to the main amenities, on a very small powered site in the sun next to big caravans. We asked if we could go somewhere else and a different lady told us to go to a bigger grass area further down which was very nice. Our tent was under a Christmas tree and close to the bathroom and kitchen. Only downside is that there wasn't any compost or rubbish bin in that kitchen, only recycling. But there was some in the main kitchen at the entry of the park. The campground is also in the middle of the park that was used for filming Lord of the Rings.

Great little holiday park with powered and unpowered tent/caravan sites. Facilities for cooking and washing up, where some utensils are supplied but you should probably bring your own just in case.

Rude and unhelpful staff who seem to think that dealing with customers is an imposition and a burden. Very unpleasant. Steer clear of this place. Any other holiday park in Kapiti would be a better choice.

Friendly staff, lovely location and tidy, comfortable cabins.

Dated but clean. Staff aren't overly friendly, which is unfortunate for its easily accessible beach access and community vibes.
