Flemington Paddy's Market is one of the largest wholesale market in Sydney. Great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables are best quality and reasonable price from farm sellers and not go through middle person. Also seafood and cured meat are here as fresh and the price is better. The another section where you would get everything of general goods like flowers, books, kids clothes, toys,electricals items etc.The market is open early morning and close at 2 pm on Saturday. Best day to visit on Saturday as the presence is more. Mainly payments were in cash so keep coins and dollars.nThe entire market is under cover. Spacious parking area and toilet facilities available.
Good place to visit. Better to go when it's near the closing time. Cheapies everywhere. I went on Friday so avoided the rush on the weekend. Plenty of parking but bring a LoT of cash. Card will attract surcharge.
The markets are great, lots of fabulous bargains to be had for both vegetables and fruit. It’s worthwhile getting there early before 7am if you want to have a look around when it’s busy, but not super crowded. Parking is plentiful. The flower market is totally worth a visit and if you go after 9am the stall holders start offering great discounts.
If you are after Fresh and bargain price in Sydney for Fruits, Vegetables and Fish then this is the place you should consider. Lot of varieties you can get there on Saturday. Gate close at 2pm so you need to enter before that on Saturday. Trolley cost $4 for use and deposit $6. Lot of parking but very hard to get. Better to park in ground floor otherwise you need to wait for a while to get lift to get upper level.
First time visiting and couldn't believe how HUGE and busy this place was on a Saturday! Nothing I've ever seen or experienced before. The fresh food market, shop around as some have the same prices as coles/woolies. You can buy bulk trays for cheaper prices. Produce on the larger size too. At the back there is fresh seafood, nuts and clothing etc.nnThe flower markets were amazing, beautiful array of coloured flowers at great prices, if only we lived close by to enjoy this market to its full potential. Keen to go back just to see the different produce and flowers in season. Would highly recommend if you have never been.
