"Having taken over as new owners in October 2022, we are a locally owned Tex Mex restaurant offering a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere. Used to come here when it was Montezumas, now it's still the same with a different name. The food is still simple, but healthy & tasty with a good spice hit & plenty of chilli for the asking. Amazing hospitality from the moment we entered the premises. Couldn’t fault the food. Felt like a lovely, comfy, family feel restaurant, my kids didn’t kick off which is NOT an often occurance they ate ALL THEIR FOOD! Also, never happens! Especially at restaurants! I got a coconut margarita, which was lovely, but way too sweet and processed tasting, couldn’t taste the alcohol at all. I asked the waitress for just another plain margarita thinking that would be a better one. She understood exactly what I was talking about and offered to make me a different drink entirely, jalapeño/coconut margarita, and made it to perfection. Couldn’t fault these guys tonight, pleasantly surprised. Kid-friendliness: Was offered kids food to be brought out first which believe it or not is not too common, frustrating for us parents…fed kids are happier kids when out for dinner and food service was prompt, awesome portion sizes not too big not too small. Parking: On Main Street, plenty of parking out front Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access and accessible tables
If you are looking for exciting standard Maxican flavors then this is not for you. This restaurant has very different and mild testing Maxican food, without extra hot sause we couldn't finish our 3 dishes we ordered tonight.
Went there with my partner recently, and one of the staff who was assigned at the reception booth was rude and not welcoming. Also, we tasted food better when we had covid. Had that San Sebastian bowl and a combo meal and it was bland AF even after we added salt. That was the saddest chicken I've ever tasted.
Good food!! Wide menu, Majority of our group was vegetarian, but it did had pretty good options.
We had a group of about 30, and they catered so well for us!! It was a cosy fit, but the atmosphere was great, the food was very tasty, and the mocktails were very good. Vegetarian options: An excellent array of vegetation options
Service was slow and took ages to be ask if we wanted a drink, in the end we had to ask for a drink. When we finally got our meals, the server didn't know the names of the dishes she brought out. Food was hot and tasty when it eventually arrived. The new look interior lacked the Mexican feel and colour. All in all, it was ok
Very good food, nice kind service and clean bathrooms and place Kid-friendliness: The servers where very kind to the 2 kids who where with me, gave colouring pages and crayons.
Outstanding customer service and ambience. They have gone through a great deal of effort to make the place look very funky and cool. The food we had was ok but the chicken in the nachos and enchiladas was lacking in flavouring. Serving sizes are decent and they have a good variety of food. Decent selection of alcohol as well.
Worst Meal I’ve ever had. Think you need a new chef. We couldn’t eat our order we had queso dip for entree which is normally my favourite dish and it was so bland, cold and just not tasty at all. Then we had a combo of enchilada and a taco well when you put the enchilada in the oven maybe watch it as we had burnt hard as a rock rice and the food was so dry the taco shells were wet and soggy. I don’t normally give such harsh reviews but I need to be honest as we spent just over $90 for food we couldn’t eat.
