Dirty furniture was delivered. After they sent a cleaner to clean it out of goodwill!? and he failed I was told that I could have a $200 voucher to spend in their store. Furniture cost $4585. All unwrapping of furniture was videoed and we had a pro cleaners here at the time to stain protect the couch. He couldn't do his job as the couch was already stained. Emails take days to be answered. Couch was also sent with out the centre plug and we have been told to insert it ourselves although the couch is extremely heavy. Gone from a fan of the store to never shopping there again.
Sandra was great! She was patient and giving us so many choices for the style we wanted. We love so many things and she help us to choose according to our indications. We will be back for our next purchase and definitely we will look for her.
when you buy anything from this store check every corner, unzip everything and have a look for yourselve. don't just trust what they said. got a couch with ASIS with only water stain on the back after I riceved the couch it was pre-owned. They sold me second hand furniture. there is baby toys,finger nail,crumb NEVER AGAIN
Extremely poor service and incompetent staff. I added to an order made hours earlier and specifically asked whether it could simply be added to the existing order to avoid a second delivery fee. Only after I completed payment did their salesperson then revise his earlier confirmation that delivery would be extra for these two smaller items. Had he not given the wrong information earlier I wouldn’t have added to the order. They then failed to notify about the items being available for pickup. On picking up, the large, almost Amazonian salesperson simply said the item was heavy and did not help load the items. Definitely would not purchase from them again and the quality barely justifies the clearance prices.
Absolute nightmare. Two items of furniture damaged September 2021. Had to chase them for replacement. Terrible communication. Assured the second shipment would be inspected. Damaged again and sent back. My request for a refund rejected. I had to chase them for rectification. Overall about 35 emails from me to manage the joke that is Oz Design. The delivery driver shows up to my place to pick up the original damaged furniture unannounced. Had no idea he was coming wasn't home. Finally after over FIVE months of chasing, they agreed to refund. Promised refund within 10 business days. Apparently the Macgregor store hasn't processed this yet. Still waiting. AVOID! RUN! The WORST experience I have ever had buying furniture. One star is too good.
Honestly, the worst customer experience I have ever had. We were lied to about stock availability, paid in full expecting to have our furniture within a week or 2 and ended up waiting over 4 months for our table and couch! Had to fight back and forth with the manager Janette to organise loan furniture as we were about to host Christmas without a table and chairs or couch. Then when our furniture actually arrived, the table was delivered in terrible condition, 6 cracks through the timber and blue ink all over it. After requesting a refund for the table, it was initially declined until we threatened to go to Australian consumer law, then to actually receive the refund, it took over 4 weeks to get our money back! We called and emailed almost every day and customer service was useless and careless of our situation. I have never been treated so poorly by a company before, in total we paid $6,000 to receive back the worst customer service possible. They had many opportunities to resurrect the situation with us and chose to be difficult every time. I could not advise anyone enough to stay clear of purchasing any furniture through this company.
I rang this store in error rather than the warehouse. Goodness me the woman that answered the phone was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to and you would think I had committed a crime. Very poor representation for Oz Design, luckily I had already purchased my table otherwise I would have thought twice. I most definitely will not be shopping at this company again. Please understand that when you employ customer service staff who do not like customers this creates an issue for the whole company.
Bought a TV unit and matching coffee table, made in Australia with Tassie timber, spent thousands on this near furniture, the first delivery was disappointing, the tv unit had scratches on it and one of the coffee table drawer wouldnt close properly. They agreed to take the furniture away, we waited a while, this time when delivered, the tv unit has a chunk missing from a shelf inside and the coffee table has a stalple through the inside of the drawer, splintering the timber. We have once again emailed them, but silence so far. On top of this, the offsider of the delivery truck displayed abusive language towards my wife, when she stated a fact about how the furniture delivered and handled with the first delivery.
Rang today to check if the store had stock of a particular table and chairs and spoke to Megan. She was so friendly knowledgeable and helpful… not had that sort of customer service for a long time. So refreshing
I had a terrible experience with this shop. I purchased 3 bar chairs about 4 weeks ago. Besides the price and design, the most important reason that I bought them is because the staff told me the chairs would be delivered in two weeks. After two weeks, as I did not receive any phone call from them, I made my first phone call to check if the chairs were available. The staff who pick up my phone call seemed very impatient and told me they will check, but did not call me back. One week later, I made second phone call. The staff told me to call me back on next Monday, but did not call me again. Today, I just made the third phone call and was told that they had no idea what is happening with my order. The staff seemed very frustrated and told me someone would call me on Thursday. Should I wait: ?
