Usually get takeaway but always have a good experience. I get the Bourbon ribs and chips and the ribs are full of meat and flavour. Comes with a decent serving of chips, I pretty much always have left overs for the next day. We have eaten there before and the meals are always good. Some meals are overpriced and there are other competitors in the area that do some of the steak meals cheaper, but overall I am going to keep going back for the ribs
Went to rubbish used to have great meals but the last few times it has been extremely underwhelming. But the last time was the worst I had bought the most expensive marbled steak and ordered it rare and it came out blue and stone cold in the middle I took it back and explained what was happening and I over heard the chef say it just came out of the fridge what does he expect. Firstly I expect a qualified chef to know the difference between the different cooks of steak and to understand there is a temperature in which meat products must be served at
Went over a year ago, had a terrible experience. Thought I'd try again to see if they stepped up their game... unfortunately it has gotten worse. My steak was well-done I ordered MEDIUM-RARE! I mentioned to the waitress who then tried to teach me my steak was more medium-well rather then medium-rare. *cough* She then joked about how eating "blue steak" was gross, I ordered medium-rare sweetheart not blue :/ They even overcooked my baked potato. 4 dishes at our table, none of which were worth the hefty price tags. Portion sizes seem to be getting smaller also. DO NOT DINE HERE!!!!! Such a shame, we need a decent steak house around this area.
Went to lunch 3 days ago, our meal was cold, 4 steaks overcooked, came with a side of chips only 12 of them on each plate and the garlic bread was burnt . Service is very poor, a table of 4 came in 20 mins after we did, yet their meal came out before ours. There 9.95 special is a joke.. crap steak and the drink size is smaller then the picture. Ive had macdonalds that tastes better.
Absolutely disgusted!!!!! The meals are not worth your money, so pricey for such tiny meals, steak was so dry barely any chips, mushroom sauce was so watery it made me sick! My partners ribs were so hard, ribs are meant to be easy to pull apart not rock hard!!! Never will eat here again, would much prefer the beach house, coffee club or Zingaras at least there the money you spend is worth it and the food actually tastes good! Awful.
Had my birthday dinner there, my stake had hard fatty peace ' s and for ordering medium cooked it was well done. My daughter meal came late and wrong si she did not get to eat. My wife's meal was more fat then meat. The whole experience was bad for the money we payed.
Food looked good - and it stopped there. ribs too thick and not marinated no sauce - steak and prawns and avacado only 2 spoons of sauce - both waitress wearing low cut tops not professional! Lemon lime & bitter drink watered down - spoiled my anniversary dinner - thought we were treating ourselves - what a joke!
Another great night at OBJ's - Mother's Day special - as usual good food served with a smile from the friendly helpful staff. The 6 of us had a good night tonight and would highly recommend OBJ's Browns Plains for anytime you want a good meal. I see other reviews have issues and complaints - we have been 5 times in the last 6 weeks and our food has never been cold. Once the meat was a little dry and they offered a new piece. The food is always well presented and full of flavour. Like I said earlier, we would recommend having a meal here.
Always use to get take away and come on for meals with the family but Since new management this place has never been as the same. Couldnt get my 3 for all ribs due to no stock, If i could post a photo of what $66entree and 2 mains gets you youd be furious. Small portioned meals. Ask for no salad and extra chips, you dont get the extra chips. Unhappy customer
The staff were great the cheff was a waste of space and rude Wow No more for outback jacks Brownsplains Been a while since we entrerd out back jacks Brownsplains After they completly destroyed our last order this was no better. waitresses were great chef or in their words the head chef should be sacked my partner ordered medium well steak and got a steak that was bleeding and red raw in the centre sadley she couldnt eat it. So we showed the waitresses who agreed and took it to the cheff cook who advised her that that was medium well and it was just the juices that made it look red raw and refused to accept it was under cooked Even their own menu displays what the steak should look like and it moore like a medium raw by there own images. Its sad that we paid so much money for a rude cheff we didnt ask for refund we just wanted the cheff to know so he could adjust his cooking times and when we were there no one else had arrived yet so he couldnt even say it was busy . But this rude cheff decides the customer is wrong and the steak was fine you decide it was red and bleeding But the worst thing was the cheffs attitude talk about chasing customers away maybe they should chase him away
