Absolutely amazing service and the food is delicious, I feel it needs a little more seasoning. The brownie we ordered for one of my daughters was very nice so ordered another for myself but unfortunately it was completely different texture like it was uncooked or not heated enough as it's apparently not made on-site, it felt very heavy and sickly not being cooked and quite runny texture. Apart from that I think the service was amazing. Olives were yummy and pizza cheesy garlic bread tastes superb. Pasta dishes needed more salt. Again - service was amazing and the speeds the food was brought to us was impressive.
Went for dinner here for my kids. The service staff were very friendly. They had quite a full restaurant of people dining, and things were a little slow but understandable given staffing issues around COVID. Everyone has been hit similarly. One or two ingredients were not available for items we ordered but they were able to substitute where they needed to and they kept us informed. The food was good and the meals were a good size too. I want to go back and try some more cocktails
Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Our kids loved the pasta and have insisted on coming back. So we ended up eating here twice in our 3 day trip to Taupo. Staff are great.
Finally a great meal in NZ. Proper Italian food, my kids love the food. Carbonara was a standout! Pizza is great as well. Ate here twice in 2 days!
We spent our Saturday evening at Sorrento’s and was happy to have had a reservation as all the tables were full and was seated immediately which was great. Orders were taken quickly, our appetizers came out at the same time as our mains unfortunately and was a bit disappointed with the quality of the pizza bases. The pasta was absolutely DELICIOUS Fettuccini Carbonara and our Calamari and Garlic Bread was fantastic. 3/5 star review for us. Great service
Just what we expected from an amazing Italian place in Taupo. The food was great and the recommendations made us very pleased. The male wait staff who served us was also helpful in checking in on us. Thank you for the great hospitality and food!Food: 5/5
Hands down the BEST Italian Restaurant we have been too in my opinion! Beats all the ones in Auckland lol. Plus that drink i took a photo of was AMAZING! I want a bottle filled of that stuff lol. Wish i could of tried their steak though. Wish they do that for lunch as well as dinner. But still what i had was definitely on par with my mothers home made so 10/10! Plus the woman that helped us was amazing!
Popped in without a reservation & the staff were so welcoming. The food was really good and two of the waiters managing the front really took care of us. Will defs become a frequent spot whenever we visit taupo again
Came here for dinner. Had the bacon carbonara, prawn spaghetti and some chunky chips. The carbonara was thick and flavourful. The prawn spaghetti is just ok for me, cant seem to figure the sauce in it. It is quite citrusy and sour, flavour not bad. Prawn was juicy and big. The chips was nicely battered and mashy inside which melts. Portion size was generous definitely. This resturant was fully packed and people continuously coming. Price was average high for these sort of places. Overall, worth coming to try as it does have authentic feel to it.
Exquisite food! The beef cheeks were cooked to perfection! I can recommend this restaurant highly! The wine selection is great, lots if Italian wines, peroni on tap, warm atmosphere, friendly staff. Do try it!
