The older woman behind the NZ post office counter is extremely rude. Had parcels supplied by Go Sweet Spot an NZ courier company who provide DLE bags and shop through NZ post. The lady behind the counter denied my parcels, even though they fit well within the DLE size she showed me AND they are approved parcels by Go Sweet Spot who are partnered with NZ Post. Have been sending these out in those DLE parcels for almost 2 years through another post office with no issues. Will absolutely NEVER post in Orewa again - the lady behind the counter has no customer service skills, I see many others on Google have left reviews about her behaviour. Why is she employed?
Delays are unbelievable. Although, it's understandable due to the current crisis. The service is close to null. They do not make themselves responsables. If you pay for overnight delivery, they deliver 5 days later and no refund is provided. What's the point of paying extra for a service is not guaranteed nor refundable. Clearly, its all business for them nothing for the small business.
Horrible female manager..mid 30-40. Long datk. hair. Got my mail redirected there and she said you can't get your mail redirected you have to register. Ok so that's very strange. now my mail is lost! Not happy Jan! I paid a lot for that re direction order! She was very aggressive and mocking of me. Said in our universe that's real. Don't know which universe you are in. Told me to leave. Nasty as can be. Disgusting. Was waving me away. My mail was sent there and it's just 'somewhere' but not there.' Not only taking no responsibility but had no respect, no courtesy. She was mocking me and her treatment of a customer was so wrong and so rude.
The customer service is awesome. Both ladies are very nice and helpful to me and explained all the details and everything. She even come and helped me to do my package. She's a short lady with curly hair and the other one is the young tall girl with kinda curly hair both of them ars amazing. Im thankfu l and appreciated of their service. Thank-you guys for your good service.
Owner was very helpful with my rego then ordered a book for me. He even matched the price from the competition who did not have it in stock either. Old fashioned, friendly service.
The guy that appears to be the manager here is often quite dismissive and arrogant. Our family has had various mostly unpleasant experiences here. Even been told at 4.45pm that they wouldn’t process a very simple item to be posted after acknowledging that they were not yet closed….bizarre. I’ve also been told they wouldn’t accept a Freepost authority number for an online learning government parcel unless it had tracking. The organisation have told me that the post paid address card is usually all that’s required to post the items back. This post shop saying only letters are authorised. All very confusing. Will take the advice from someone else’s review and try Red Beach.-update- Red beach processed the free post authority package with no problems whatsoever, on the same day. We will definitely be using their postal service in the future.
It's interesting to note that a review I wrote in July 2021 has been removed, both from this site and the Paper Plus site. Needless to say, the review was not positive and highlighted the extreme rudeness of staff, one woman in particular. I have complained to NZ Post, no satisfactory resolution however.
Abysmal service at the postal counter once again. This time I’m driven to publicly comment. I will be making a formal complaint NZ Post. The previous post office was amazing. This is shambolic. Extremely rude, aggressive woman.
Sending parcels away just becore Christmas, buying RUC s for 2 cars, one rego, all during a busy time in the shop, could have been difficult. Not so. The post office person attending to me was truly helpfull, speeding up the entire process in top professional manner, very friendly and very helpful. Outstanding service, no doubt during a very stressful period before Christmas, thank you very very much.
Very helpful and straightforward to deal with. Refreshing after a bad experience with Aramex
