I read of late the not so good reviews, well my experience on a Tuesday lunch at the Old Wild West was good. Place was quarter full plus us three. Service was good. Young fella was polite and attentive. Our meals were nice and beers cold. Happy days!!!
Food wasn’t fresh and soggy fries and burger was hard and cold. Steak wasn’t medium rare. I would not recommend this place for food.
Most of the meals on the table were nice, my stake was well cooked as requested only issue was not enough sauce. And don't waste your time ordering the AJVAR sauce not worth money not hot or spicey. The Caesar Salad was very bland and flavourless. Took a long time to get main meals. Staff were efficient and friendly good service. Access is good to main restaurant area, BUT toilets are up a large flight of stairs. Parking is good typical Hillarys parking. And is free.
A great steak house with a wild west themed decor. I took my kids and they can't wait to go back. The pricing is about average for a meal out and the servings are a good size. The staff are freindly and helpful and we didnt feel rushed. All up we had a great experience at Old Wild West.
What a great eatery. Decked out in theme that made the experience so enjoyable. Staff were so polite and efficient. Lots of variety on the menu and the food was lovely. Had the mini deserts and these were perfect to finish the meal. Left very satisfied without being uncomfortably full. Huge drink menu also.
we were pleasantly surprised by this place only because themed restaurants are not always very good. the mixed grill plate was huge and had lots of yummy things. even the small steaks were perfect medium rare which is quite rare for small cuts... staff were friendly and attentive.
This is the second time my husband and I have been here on a weekend. I am coeliac so I know I will always be looked after here. Had the manager go through all the condiments to advise what I could and couldn't have. Had a Dakota burger altered to make it gluten free. It helps when the chef is coeliac also. We will definitely be back.
Very much enjoyed our visit here. We were looked after well by friendly and attentive staff and Manny, the manager. The food was superb. I had brisket which was very much as described - slow cooked. Ace
Had the montana chicken with some mac and cheese the chicken, weges, and salad were lovely, the mac and cheese was very nice but it needed something such as bread crumbs or a little bit more cheesy taste but i loved everything about the meal.
We visited with high expectations but were greatly disappointed. Firstly the service... had to call the wait person as they were servicing tables that came after our table...The waiter took our order on his ipad then put it in his pocket. I asked if he was sure it was correct - politely prompting him to read the order again...but Not to be the arrogant waiter said yes I got it then left. Orders came out and what a suprise, they had forgotten one meal. Spoke to front counter they apologised and would make dish asap...oh and no charge they kept saying.. I also asked if our burger buns were supposed to be toasted as nope they forgot that to.... the chips were small serves even though the food dish prices are through the roof . Out comes forgotten dish and it looked like the chicken breast was run over by a steam roller. All we got from the front counter was sorry....I Still got stung with a $132 bill . Bad Service & Bad food..... How can this place be in business ....
