Ohnamiya Japanese Takeaway Food

We had salmon don,teriyaki don, beef udon, curry katsu chicken, soft shell crab maki and karage chicken as a side. Whole bill comes up to $67 which is reasonable. The place is bustling with takeaways and dine in. For a quick simple weekday dinner, come try out this no frill japanese restaurant at Applecross which also has anothrr branch at myaree.

Ohnamiya is a safe place to go for quick Japanese cuisine. Their menu has pretty much been the same for the time Ive known of their existence and their food has been remarkably consistent as well. I usually always get the same chicken katsu dish which has easily become one of my favourite katsu in Perth call it familiarity if you want. And while i’m well aware this is by no means the best Japanese in Perth - in terms of value for flavour this is actually right up there. The food is always prepared quickly and the fact that the dishes are so consistent is commendable. There are a couple of branches out there - this particular is my favourite. Big restaurant with good seating options, there are always adequate staff on board so your dishes come out quickly. If you haven’t tried it before- give it a go!

Got my lunch here . Portion is just nice and the pricing is okay. Would recommend this for a quick lunch. plenty of sections and atmosphere is great. Would give more star is the flavour is more full.And also parking is a bit tight here around noon.

UPDATE Feb 2022: Had takeaway over the weekend and noticed that the food was not the same as before. Poorer in quality. I suspect a change in management. I hope I am wrong! Used to be my favourite. Now dropping it from 5 to 4 stars. 2021: One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Perth.

Fantastic restaurant to eat all your favourite Japanese foods. The menu is huge and so many different food boxes on offer. You choose your meat/protein then you choose what options you want as a side. My favourite meal is teryaki salmon sushi box which has some delicious pickles. My friend likes to order the chicken katsu deluxe box which comes with lots of sides such as agedashi tofu, egg and salad. The service is friendly and efficient. The staff are very helpful and happy to explain menu items to their customers. Seating available and complimentary green tea available. To all that enjoy Japanese food this restaurant is highly recommended.

Our lunch go-to for a Sashimi Set! Always fresh and served by friendly staff. Does get quite busy on weekdays serving the office crowd in the area but well worth the wait if you have time to dine in.

I spent $130 on 5 dishes via Uber and the food was atrocious. It came cold with warm drinks and the quality was very poor. I could have eaten in a nice restaurant for the same money. Disgusting cost and disgusting food.

Ordered meal through UBER. Put in order notes some instructions regarding dietary requirements eg. no batter on fish. Received a call from restaurant stating they couldn't do that, basically telling me to cancel the order or take it how it comes... Cancelled the order and certainly WON'T be ordering from OHNAMIYA again.

Simple but authentic Japanese food. The food is really delicious but the size a bit small. Fish teriyaki, chicken salad and the chicken kaarage our favourite dishes in this place. The good one is they run this place a bit different then Ohnamiya at Myaree, you don't need to pay first before your eat, they come to your table to take your order so it's feel like normal restaurant, not like the one at Myaree, you need to pay beforehand like you go to cheap/food court place. I hope Ohnamiya Myaree can make improvement someday.

The food is quite reliable and very affordable. I've probably been here about 50 times. Particular stand outs for me are the chicken katsu curry and the kaarage chicken rice box.
