I have never been so appalled by security guards at a venue. I witnessed the most obscene behaviour from the security guards and complete disrespect towards the patrons of the venue. It is absolutely disgusting that they have no understanding for anyone but themselves, and in their minds warrant assault and absolute violence towards people for such minor incidences. I will be recommending everyone i know avoid this venue as i feel unsafe around the security, thank god the police were present to protect people who were made vulnerable by the actions of the security. If you want to feel safe and protected in a venue please don’t attend this bar you’re not guaranteed your safety.
Beautiful steak meal and yummy mushroom risotto balls and sweet potato chips was massive but absolutely delicious. . Is a very nice bar and have been here heaps over the yrs and love the atmosphere. Staff very accommodating and nice . Thanks guys
Never coming to this place again I visited for months on end, tonight I was with two buddies, we stayed there for couple of hours walked out to get a kebab, when we tried to go back to watch the final act of the band, power tripping security guy would not let us back in saying that my friend was "too drunk". This is absolute redicolous behaviour he had 4 drinks and was completely ok and not out of order. This guy was more than power tripping and had absolutley no reason to refuse entry. Never coming here again, until they get their act together. I understand they are doing their job, but this guy was completely out of order as I would be the first one to get my buddy to go home if he was out of order. Get your act together!
A disgusting bar. Their staff and management should be ashamed of themselves. I am a local Australian of colour and regardless of being identifed as “Australian”I have accused of taking another white “Australian” person’s drink. I approached the person that couldn’t speak for themself and he said he had no issue with it. I am totally ashamed of this so called white Australian accused me and the management of this bar. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Great place. Good beers, the tap system is a see-thru type, pretty cool. Food was really nice, I had jerk wings and side salad, both extremely tasty. Beautiful view. Inside is really nicely furnished, lots of surfboards around. There's a small stage for gigs. Looks like a pretty rocking place. Would definitely come back.
Came down for dinner with a friend, the service was great. Didn't have to wait to long and they were very polite. Nice warm rustic, beach shack feel without being a dive. The food was great, steak was perfectly done and the pizza was amazing.
Having come to Scarborough beach for a day on the beach and a look around the area we were looking for a place to eat.Came here by chance after looking round for a place to eat and drink . Don't miss out if your here. Me and the wife had a fantastic steak each cooked to how we both wanted. Good choice of beers they all so do cocktails. Good choice on menu's too.prices ate excellent too not expensive.
Absolutely disgusted with the service yesterday at 2:30-3:30pm on the 16th of July. My friends and I were enjoying our pub golf experience when we went to pick up our drinks from the bar, after the first round somebody had miscounted what was paid for verse was we actually got, now everyone in our group was willing to show Jess “the manager” our bank statements to prove everyone had paid and that she hadn’t made all our drinks. You think this would be a simple fix? She refused to look at them and decided to be very rude to every person in our group who tried to just explain our side. She would not even let us buy more for the two people who didn’t receive a drink. She insisted she was right and got very angry. Absolutely terrible customer service and all 25 of us have agreed we will never go there again. To spend upwards of $650 in less than 15 minutes and have someone yell at you and accuse you of being wrong without even trying to get to a resolution is absolutely disgusting. I don’t know who left her in charge but please don’t do it again. I myself work in retail and would never want to make my customers feel that way. Apologies go a long way. In conclusion do not go there.
Not one to usually write a review but had a really bad experience in particularly coming from the lady behind the bar Jess. There was a miscommunication around payments for drinks because there were a few of us there. Understandable these things happen. We tried to resolve the issues very politely and offered to show all our bank statements. Once offering to show our bank statements we were spoken to very rudely by Jess and told to stop buying drinks. Much better experience at the other pubs up the road. Good customer service goes a long way.
Had Terrible customer service yesterday from the manager Jess. After spending $700 in drinks with a group of friends I was left without a drink due to there being a miscommunication on payment. although we all offered to show bank statements to prove that we had paid. Jess spoke to us disgustingly and said to us “you get what your given”. Had a similar situation happen at Peach pitt down the road but they very swiftly, kindly & respectfully resolved the issue. Absolutely appalled with the customer service.
