Middle Eastern cafe serving authentic food, snacks, cakes, dessert and nice coffee. The price is reasonable with quick service. There is also grocery store and I just bought the cheapest and freshest mushroom from here.
This is a fantastic groccery store and cafe, with lots of Levantine and Mediterranean style cuisine. You can easily do a full grocery shop here. The selection of spices are absolutely incredible with a wide variety of cold meat and deli options as well. Only gripe is that it's not super public transport centric.
It's a trap!!!! You go for a couple of things and come out with bags of delicious swag. Honestly though - My favourite place to shop. The amazing Oasis brand pre prepared meals are delicious. The pizzas are superb we usually buy the twin pack smaller sized pizzas - try the lamb and feta or the vegetarian. Cooked on a pizza stone in the oven they make an incredibly tasty lazy day meal. The heat at home meals are the best. The vegan chilli is one of my go to meals to split and take to work. The Mushroom papardelle is also delicious. Honestly, I have not been disappointed in any of the heat and eat meals. The dips, the breads, the baked treats - when you visit you will see why I end up with a full trolley. We take the dips with us whenever we visit friends and they are always well received. Lots of vegan options available too - meals, sauces, dips, cheese alternatives, falafel, and so much more. The spice and international aisles were what originally drew me to oasis. Authentic ingredients to make those Middle Eastern, south American, Asian or European meals - this is your place to go. The spices take up an entire aisle - you can get a bit lost in exploring the variety. Luckily it is alphabetical The trap for me is when I take my partner. That gourmet cheese section and the variety of crackers to go with them - it can get out of control. Their cacciatore and fennel salami is bought as a treat that he is supposed to eat over the week - but is gone by the end of the day. It can be hard to find a park so I recommend an early visit. The exit on to North Road can be an absolute killer in peak traffic so I try to avoid those times.
I love baklava but was very disappointed with what I had. It was dry and very hard. Had no flavour either. Also had a box of baklava and harissa pieces given to me as a gift and again it was dry and hard. Even my husband didn’t like them. The coffee was also cold. The international food section in the supermarket area has a great variety. Hate giving bad reviews but not great experience this time
There is no doubt that this place has some wonderful fare and the vegan cakes are delicious. I've come back after a long time and the service was forgettable. 6pm on a Tuesday night and we were served by a female with glasses who appeared to be a supervisor of some sort. Seemed like a huge effort for her to converse or move so I could show her what I wanted. Real let down.
Let’s do it properly. Ordered twice from OASIS. 1st time, I didn’t receive my food at all. 2nd time ordered LAMB PIZZA…. If a Lebanese eatry cannot make a LAMB PIZZA properly… then they need to rethink. Photos attached for ref. Lamb was dryer then a crisp bread, to make things worse the packed it VERTICALLY. Who packs pizza vertically? There is no negative stars I could give ….. otherwise I would have. Think before you buy from them.
Place to go for satisfying meal experience. The place is huge and adequately staffed. It has undercover parking and ethnic grocery store. The food and coffee was great. Try also the chai tea.
Cool place with rich ranges of groceries! Went there looking for a sort of package crisps my colleague brought in one day but ended up buying much more! Would love to come back and try the cafe next time.
Oasis is a really good place to grab lunch or even some groceries these days as it has a supermarket style shop next door to the Cafe area under the same roof, Oasis seems to be bigger and evolving more and more each time I go, the food is great and the Coffee is nice, I do really enjoy Oasis, there are some items that are in my opinion a bit expensive but there is also some very reasonably priced items as well, I recommend checking out Oasis for yourself if you've never visited.
Close to the worst breakfast/brunch ive ever had. Egg that was overcooked to the point it was hard as a golf ball, toasted bread that you can still taste it was stale, cold vegetarian pizza. Only thing that i enjoyed was the plain cucumber. What a shame.
