Super tasty steak sandwich! All cafes around Melbourne should learn from this: use Turkish bread plz! Sourdoughs just always get soggy and hard to cut, you will never able to eat a sourdough sandwich if toasted of course Anyway. This is THE best steak sandwich ever had so far. Juicy, perfect cheese, onions! Five stars
Disappointing. I waited a very long time for my food, and it wasn't good. I ordered the Pulled Pork Zucchini Waffle. The waffle was doughy, the pork was chewy and over-peppered. Just tasted kinda... weird. Full of flavours, but just not very nice. The service at the counter was poor. She seemed very confused and assumed I was making an order instead of paying by asking me "What do you want." Rude and jarring experience. Very unlike their competitors, Levi and Daniel & Son. Maybe other things in the menu are better. The waitress that showed me to my table was great. But I won't be coming back again, and I recommend others go somewhere else.
The breakfast was very nice and there is a child's play area upstairs. It is quiet noise upstairs when there are a lot of children
I highly recommend Iron Henry! They catered a large event for us and the food was fantastic!! They were so kind to even deliver the food and put in extra food to ensure our event went smoothly. We got so many complements on the food. From the start, the manager was so easy to deal with. He answered all my phone calls and emails very promptly. Pricing was very fair as well. I’ve dined in and had breakfast as well and enjoyed great food again. Would highly recommend and will be dining with Iron Henry again!
Great coffee for coffee enthusiastic, food coming from kitchen makes you hungry. Delicious food, worth every penny and chef never takes a step back for regarding food and always up on toes to deliver awesome dishes at any time. Highly recommended for locals and visitors and someone who wants to try something new. Thanks guys.
Really enjoyed my visit to this cafe with my son today. Service was excellent coffee was delicious and the muffin super fresh. There were lots of toys for my son to play with and two other kids other patrons his age to play with!
Excellent coffee and cake destination. I can't have cows milk but can still enjoy a great coffee because they have a really nice almond milk as well as bonsoy soy milk. Locals, it's worth a visit!
Just walking near murrumbeena station saw a small cafe. Gave a thought of visiting it which now I really don't regret. Staff was really friendly specially the barista over there. They were attentive and looked after me well. Also the staff recommended me to try their special hot pan cake with rose fairy floss. It was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend anyone having sweet tooth. Would definitely come again next time....
Located just opposite the station in the sleepy suburb of Murrumbeena, there lies Iron Henry, a knight in shining armour, caffeinating and feeding the locals. Parents will rejoice too as there's a play area for kids upstairs, so you can enjoy your meal in peace. Pecan and French Toast are two of my favourite things so when I saw Pecan French Toast on the special board, I had to order it. The bread was so soft and fluffy, the crusts slight crisped and with just the right amount of eggy-ness. The pecans added a very enjoyable crunchy texture, and of course, a dark nutty flavour to balance out the sweetness. French Toast perfection on a plate! The Pulled Pork Waffle Benedict was bursting with savoury flavours from the spiced pulled pork and potato and zucchini waffle. Eggs perfectly poached, and hollandaise sauce on point. However it was missing a certain element to help cut through all that richness, resulting in a rather heavy albeit super tasty dish. We enjoyed our coffees too, both the cappuccino and latte hit the spot even though they weren't as bold as I personally would like. Service was very friendly and approachable. Everyone is made to feel like a regular here. A lovely neighborhood cafe that is doing great things.
