Oakwood Hotel Melbourne exceeded all expectations! From the warm hospitality to the stylish, spotless rooms with breathtaking city views, every detail was perfect. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The Sky Bar was a highlight, offering stunning views and great drinks, while the delicious breakfast had plenty of options. Plus, the prime location near the Yarra River and Docklands made exploring Melbourne effortless. A truly luxurious and memorable stay—can’t wait to return!
I have stayed in countless hotels in Melbourne and around Australia and this is my favorite. First of all, the view! If you stay here ask for a room with a city view. The service here is amazing always with really friendly staff. The rooms are top notch. Very comfortable, clean & modern. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in with exquisite bedding and pillows. The room service is delicious and the buffet breakfast is top quality. The only negative thing I can say but everything else is so good it is only minor is not having 24 hour room service.
Can't even watch TV in our room like no foxtel even free TV? Nothing!nnSmoke alarm directly above me and my wife's bed flashes a bright light constantly... Who wants to sleep with that?nnAlso a Hotel without a pool I mean come on what a joke.
A solid nice room but no soap bars, barely any coffee or tea, one tiny cheap towel, one tiny milk, no mini bar, no robes, no nice extras. Ive never been to any hotel or motel lacking so much for guests, even hostels have offered much more. Disappointed although the rooms are beautiful.
We have stayed twice and each time has been a fabulous experience. Andrew, at the front desk, who checked us in both times, was so knowledgeable, professional and willing to make our stay outstanding. He even helped make our 50th Anniversary memorable. Grace was so personable and welcoming. We interacted with her numerous times as we enjoyed dinner and a drink. She even remembered us when we returned for our second stay. The guidebook for training hotel professionals should be based on these two individuals. We are from the states and these two staff members even made us consider making the 24 hour flight again. Thank you for making our Australian stay memorable
