We recently held a two day conference at AC by Marriott Melbourne Southbank for a big group, with accommodation included, and the whole experience was exceptional.nnFrom the initial sales process with Mary through to the event planning with Jodi, everything was seamless, personable and incredibly easy. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the team were flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process.nnThe Executive Chef was an absolute legend and incredibly accommodating. The food throughout the conference was so fresh, tasty and thoughtfully prepared for our group. It was genuinely a standout part of the event.nnThe breakfast buffet was also delicious, with a sensational view over Melbourne. Such a great way to start the day.nnMy room was on the smaller side, but were very nice, modern, clean and comfortable.nnWhat stood out most was the service. Every staff member we dealt with was helpful, friendly and willing to assist. So many venues can feel rigid or cookie cutter when managing large groups, but that was never our experience here.nnWe would absolutely return.
During my recent stay at the AC HOTEL, my initial experience as a Marriott Bonvoy member involved a two-level room upgrade. Regrettably, the upgraded accommodation offered a limited city view, which did not fully meet expectations. The breakfast service, while offering a concise selection, was of excellent quality and perfectly adequate for a morning meal. I would like to commend the manager, who also provided service during breakfast, for their exceptional helpfulness and courtesy. Their outstanding service was particularly evident when they provided complimentary barista coffee during a routine cleaning of the coffee machine. Overall, our stay at the AC HOTEL was highly enjoyable. The service was exemplary, and the hotel's location in the heart of Southbank and Docklands is exceptionally convenient. I confidently recommend this hotel to both couples and families, particularly those traveling with pets.
Such a lovely stay! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile… Kayla at reception check in made us feel welcome. And Katie in the bar was our favorite… professional, fun and made our stay enjoyable… and finally the sweet little personal note from Jhanvi when they refreshed our room! Great spot to access DFO, MCEC, CROWN & SOUTHBANK made this the perfect stay! Thanks! We’ll be back… Jodie and Dan
Overall, it was a big disappointment. To start off, they messed up my reservation. I had asked for an extra night on my booking, which they communicated via email would be possible. However when I turned up in the middle of the night, there was no room ready. They apologized but all rooms were occupied.nThey offered a slightly earlier check in but beyond that did nothing to rectify this major error on their part. Not even a complimentary breakfast while I waited in the lobby for hours.nnAlso, some cost cutting measures were very apparent. You had to ask for a dental kit separately ! And to top it off, they had run out of it when I did ask.nnThe only bright spot was the breakfast and the lovely lady who was signing in guests for breakfast every morning.
Had a really nice staycation here. Thanks to Kayla at check-in, who was friendly, welcoming and upgraded us to a room on a high floor. The room was quiet, clean and had a great view. Loved the Korres toiletries in the bathroom. Our shower was a bit pokey but I think that was just the particular layout in that room. Nice rainshower and good water pressure. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.nWe opted for breakfast at a discounted rate and really enjoyed it - good quality and I loved the separate gluten free section with dedicated gluten free toaster. This is common in some countries but the first time I've seen this in an Australian hotel. It would be nice to also have some gluten free pastries. Breakfast was also really calm and relaxing, a nice way to start a Sunday. Restaurant staff were also professional and cleared tables quickly.nOverall I enjoyed my stay here and would like to stay again.
